A Social Ban!?

So i was just running my normal stuff the other day and all of the sudden when i went to put stuff in my guild bank there is no option for it or the guild store! i cant talk in zone and whisper cant send mail cant trade! for what? i have done the same thing everyday to make gold in this game just running public dungeons and gathering! i also have a new mailing addon as i am leader of a guild now but its an addon through minion i shouldnt be banned for using something that is the only way to really keep guilds informed! please help been a day and half now! thanks guys! help would be appreciated! *.*

I have sent in 3 tickets! this happened to me and my friend when we were in party just running public dungeons! he got his ban lifted how come mine hasnt been lifted yet!

It's the mail addon. Sometimes, depending on how much mail you send, it gets interpreted as spam and you get the ban. Send in a support ticket, explain it's an addon you're using and they'll fix you up. The addon author and ZoS probably need to have a chat because you're not the first person that's been caught up in it.

I know i explained in every ticket that it had to be that only thing i have changed in the past week! they should fix this because its not fair to those trying to keep the guild informed. its not like they have that kind of mailing system built in game lol so we need to use the addon

No, you don't need to.
There are many (free) tools that you can use either on the web or on the vocal systems to share information in text form.
Admittedly a group mail system ingame is handy for the guild leader but I've seen too many GMs abusing it and sending guild mail far too often. I'm not in a video game to get spammed and I personally approve that such tool isn't natively available.

Just a quick comment to say: One Issue, One Ticket.

Multiple tickets on the same subject confuse things, and can actually delay a response while they sort through everything you have written trying to determine what to do with the pile of tickets.

You have to write a ticket and wait for a response. Any response, even the automated pearls of wisdom from Chet. After that, keep replying to email that is received until resolved.

i havent had any complaints from all 3 of my guilds for using it i just dont want to keep being banned for using an addon that helps is all i am saying!

You have MOTD, use it and stop spamming peoples inboxes.

The social ban system is in place to prevent gold-sellers from advertising their services. And a GM trying to use mails to inform guild about something looks exactly like those gold-sellers sending hundreds of mails at once.

I know every one of my guils leaders use it and 2 out of the 3 have been socially banned in the last couple days! it makes no sense! i would not be posting here unless i felt everyone should know and maybe i could get a little help with this issue thats all! not here to start a troll war XD

I believe if the system detects more than 20 mails in quick sucession it bans for spam. I agree they need to improve this for guilds, hard to get messages to 500 people when you can't do a bulk mail. And not many read the MOTD so that isn't always effective.

On each of the guilds I'm in uses line to communicate regular updates for this reason

It's definitely the mailing addon. If you send too many mails in a short period of time their automated anti-spammer/gold seller algorithms think you're a spammer and you get an automatic social ban. Just go through the CS ticket process and you'll be back to normal soon.

It's worth noting that this can also happen if you were to do something like decide to troll one of your friends by sending them a metric ton of mails, each with a single Ta attached. Right @Sylance9? At least I think that's who it was who did that - I can't search Youtube for the video from work to confirm...

Your use of the be in game mail addon si what brought you the social ban

The speed at which you had the addon send the mail was to fast and triggered the games response. If it is the one I think it is their is a warning on the addon website.

You'll need to slow it down, after your not banned anymore.

Anyone who says "Use MoD", or "Guild Mail is not needed" obviously doesn't run a 500 member guild.
The "About Us" has enough room for Ts address, Website Address and Discord link, and thats it. No more room.

MoD,~ not every one reads it, and as our guild runs weekly events, tracks trader donations, and does Trials and PvP runs with other guilds, schedules theory crafting classes, etc, there is NOT ENOUGH SPACE to list and communicate everything that it takes to keep guildies informed.
I too use the Add-On in question. There is a setting to set the number of seconds between mails. Set that to a higher value to try and maybe bypass auto spam trigger.
But, the add-on also glitches, a lot. Will send say 265 of 500, then say "Waiting on Zos", freeze and crash. Now you have to rewrite and resend the mail , pray to Akatosh they all go through, and have 265 ppl get it twice.
We have asked SO many times that Zos please give us more Guild Tools and a workable group mail system is top of the list!

I'm more likely to read guild mail actually, because it tends to change less often than tMotD.

I'd definitely disagree with that. I rarely look at my guilds' MOTD because it rarely occurs to me to open up the guild window and cycle through my guilds to see if there's anything new in there. If I receive a guild mail, though, I always read it.

Not me. I almost never read motd, but I do always read any mail sent to be. Most people who I have talked to do the same.

Another problem with guild MoTD is that they never say what changed. I swear that some of them are text versions of Where's Waldo, trying to figure out what changed. No edit date, or indication of what changed. I signed into PS4 and saw one guild updated the MoTD. I was interested because the people who can update it never sign in. I find out they didn't sign in and I just forgot to delete it 2 weeks ago, when they apparently did sign in, and did change something.
