Homestead has only exaggerated already prominent issues even more so. Whos idea was it to have furnishings be yet more items you have to shove somewhere if theyre not placed in your home? My bank is already at capacity, i just spent 43k on the last ten slots and im too broke to expand it anymore, i just cant add more stuff to it let alone all the new crafting materials. I refuse to go down the path of creating more characters as mobile storage.

Please, if anything, make it so the furnishings category dont count towards our inventory space. Housing right now serves no practical use toward gameplay, so the items associated with it shouldnt hurt us in a practical way.

    Working as intended, unfortunately.

You'll need to use a character as a bank slot, get one of the free homes and use it as a storage unit, or subscribe.

Get another property (run the Free Apartment quest on an alt in another alliance, or get one of the 10k apartments) and dump all the furniture items you're not using in there.

If you have a master crafter (even still in the making), learn crafting recipes now, even if they don't yet meet the requirements. If you're leveling all their crafts, they'll know it eventually, so there's not point in saving the recipes for later.

Sell anything you don't want. if you don't have a guild trader, either pass it to a friend who does or vendor trash it for a pittance.

It's true they want you to sub, but the only thing you should be banking here are the six new crafting materials. Everything else, you should either dump in a warehouse, use, or sell.
    Living vicariously through my characters.

    My Girls:
"If you were trapped in your house for, say, a year, how would you pass the time?"

Nephikah the Houseless, dunmer assassin: "I suppose I could use the break. I have a lot of business holdings now that need management."
Swum-Many-Waters, elderly argonian healer: "I think that I would enjoy writing a memoir."
Silh'ki, khajiit warrior-chef: "Would this one be able to go outside, to the nearby river? It's hard to fish without water!"
Peregrine Huntress, bosmer hunter: "Who is forcing me to stay inside, and where can I find them?"
Lorenyawe, altmer mechanist: "And why would I want to go outside in the first place? Too much to be done in the workshop."
Lorelai Magpie, breton master thief: "I'd go nuts. Lucky for me, I have a little experience sneaking out!"
Rasheda the Burning Heart, redguard knight: "I would continue my training to keep my skills sharp."
Hex-Eye Azabi, khajiit daedric priestess: "I suppose it would be lucky, then, that I built a shrine to Mephala in my backyard."
Yngva Stormhammer, nord bandit (reformed...ish): "I hate being inside even when I'm not forced to be. GET. ME. OUT."
Madam Argentia, vampire dunmer aristocrat: "I suppose it would be more of the same. I have a rather... contentious relationship with the sun."
Mazie gra-Bolga, orc scout: "Uh... I'd have to house train my bear..."
Felicia the Wanderer, imperial witch-for-hire: "What Lorelai said."
Calico Jaka-dra, retired khajiit pirate: "This one would like a rest from her grand adventures. Her jewel shop runs out of stock!"
Shimmerbeam, blind altmer psijic: "Provided that I am confined to Artaeum, I do not think I will want for things to occupy my time."
Shauna Blackfire, redguard necromancer: "Sounds like paradise. I hate people."
Kirniel the Undying, cursed bosmer warrior: "I would feel useless, not being able to fight."
Echoes-from-Dragons, argonian who thinks she's a dragon: "All the better to count my hoard!"

Invite a bunch of noobs to a guild and you'll have 500 bank slots. The only drawback is items don't stack so you'll have to withdraw things to stack them.

Make a mule alt, create a guild, stuff your furniture in one of the free apartments, in-game mail your stuff back and forth to a friend, farm gold for more bank/ inventar slots, decon/sell your items, sub for a month so all the craft stuff goes in your bag, it will stay there after your sub expires. And last but not least - stop complaining about not having stuff for free other players pay for. Gimme-gimme mentality.

I agree that furnishings need to go into a separate inventory.

I'd also suggest ESO isn't forcing you to sub for the crafting bag. It's a choice. I did sell more matts before the bag. Now I only sell upgrade matts.

Why do you want to store furniture in your inventory?

If you don't want to keep it then you're best off selling it ASAP because prices are dropping rapidly now it's been out for a few weeks and the initial rush has calmed down.

If you do want to keep it dump it into one of the free inn rooms (even items which don't fit in the room, like trees can be placed there). Without a subscription each room can hold 15 items so that's 45 things you can clear out of your bank/inventory.

Admittedly it makes the inn rooms look a bit strange. I got my first painting today and having this big ornate gold framed artwork hanging over my rough bedroll and tiny stool and table looks silly. But when I've saved enough gold for my house it'll look great in there.

I'd rather have ZOS make more money via subscription and crafting bags and use their budget to continue the game, balance out classes/sets, and add more endgame contents.

TBH, subscription fee is not a big issue for ESO in my opinion, considering how much we have to pay for monthly Netflix, cellphone usage and such.

Bound furniture cannot t be sold so if needed t used it takes up inventory space or has to be destroyed. That's the isssue.

On this subject players should think of the big picture.

They are strongly suggesting that you sub, and I am subbing.

The absolute only reason I still sub is the craft bag. Especially with the change to chapters, the craft bag is really the main draw to eso+. I would say most who have it would tell you the same. Craft bags = crack.

Yeah that is my problem currently. I think I spend more time sorting stuff onto alts than I doing playing some days. It's frustrating.

And I don't even have an issue with furniture at all (I don't carry it around, I just put it in a house). But they add so many materials with each new update. I didn't have 6 spaces free in my bank so it just means more shuffling.

The crafting bag is certainly a big incentive to sub and I think it was s good business decision since the other perks were meh. I'd expect Zos will add more beneficial perks down the road.

I prefer the positive incentive to sub vs punishment for not subbing. SWTOR heavily punishes those that don't sub. They gain XP at a significantly slower rate. Cannot join PvP or PvE raids. They cannot equip epic gear and have limited crafting potential and more unless one subs.

No they have not. They have doubled the amount of furnishing for ESO+ members and not halved it for everyone else, as you state.

People who sub, especially those with 180 day membership, deserve something for their investment and the risk they take. @ArchMikem I made a list with things you could do to keep your furnishings. But indeed, at the end there was a grain of salt. Maybe because there where a dozend+ topics in the last time about how unfair and greedy Zos is and your title "forcing me to sub" is exactly what fits into this category.

However, you demand that Zeni should change the system because YOU unwilling to do anything to have more storage. If you don't already have filled all character slots, creating a mule is by far the easiest of all things you could do. And it is absolutly free.
Then again, you said you just paid 43k for your bank upgrade, means you should sit at 150 slots. AFAIK you can upgrade up to 240 slots. Of course you have to earn it by gathering gold.
But instead you asked Zeni to give you more free storage.

One does not need to take out a sub to gain access to the service. If that were the case, evryone would have to sub.

The more BS zos thows at us the less likely I am to subscribe. I buy the DLCs out right when there are crown sales. If they spent more time fixing this game instead of coming up with new ways to force us to spend money I would gladly sub. I look at my crafting bag as a huge time saver. If you love the game a play it often a bag will save you so much time over the long run you may soon find the monthly price is more than worth it. I went as far as to by a banker and now save even more time.

I think it is a small price to pay to up your game play time and reduce the stress of inventory management..

So what your saying is you dont like that you cant have more bank space and more gold and more items easily and just shouldn't be asked to inconvenience yourself by using a mule.

We'll go ahead and just move you up to 700CP (cant be too prepared) while we're at it and create an infinity symbol next to your gold amount.
