How to set or remove forum bookmarks?

As title says I can see my bookmarks but I don't know how to add or remove them and can not see where its done
Grinding just make you go in circles.

✭Short answer: Click the star.
Long answer: (this is for the desktop version of the site; not sure about mobile)
In a thread (that isn't yours), there is a faint star outline next to the thread title. Click it to add an item to your bookmarks. You'll know it's been successfully added as bookmark because the star will turn yellow.
Or, when you're looking at a list of threads, like in a forum or under the Recent or Unanswered tabs... click the star just to the left of the thread creator's name.

✭Admittedly, I only found it by accidentally clicking it once (I didn't see it, either), and then getting confused when I started getting notifications about that thread.
