Once upon a time ago I had as much as 160,000 saved in the bank, the most gold I've ever had at one time. So proud of myself. But then I did a bit of spending, like I always end up doing eventually. And more spending. Made new armor for my character, that's gonna need enchants. Moar spending. My character NEEDS a Gold weapon, but I don't have any more mats to improve it. I'm really desperate for that extra damage... MOAR spending. Just yesterday I was getting dangerously close to a full bank inventory. Again. So I suffered through the 42,700 to raise it to 150 slots.

Today I'm now at a meager 30,000. At the same time one of my guilds announced a solitary winner of a raffle I had entered, congratulating them (not me) on taking home over 300,000 gold, just wishing someone would come and buy my crap for once.

All those who somehow always seem to stay ragged instead of rich, sound off!

Yeah I was broke down to like 10k, but now back up to about 1.1m still spending as well on motifs I don't have but yeah i noticed I haven't sold much recently only during the first 2 weeks of the homestead mostly, now everything's sitting again ah well, guess ill wait it out.

Yeah - feel for ya mate. every tie i decide to try a new build its a massive gold sink. trying things out on the pts first and having fully levelled crafters has saved me so much gold though, and doing writs has given me a way to get tempers that is reasonable. its like the other way around in this game- doing trials and vma, pvp, etc- total gold sink. whereas running around farming razak s wheel , stonewalls and malabar tor spamming steel tornado will make u a millionaire.

Altaholic here all character slots filled and a grand total of 80k......but I do have 3/4 pieces of quite a lot of sets that "could" be used for builds that ill never actually get round to finishing

It's so hard to manage different alts and then you realize that gear on one of your other alts isn't as good as it used to be. The gold sink for TBS is something i really regret...

At one point I had 20k on me. That was the most and this was last year around August.
I amassed that amount by being lucky during RGB gambling. lol (NOT RECOMMENDED)
Now even though I am running delves/dungeons/ and quests I have not gained anywhere near 20k.
I stay below 10k for some reason.

I've all but accepted my fate that I will never have enough gold for Homestead.

All good I suppose man.

If I remeber well, the max money I have hadd in the bank is 50K. Most of the time I'm putting money form my new chars into te bank, so my main chars can buy that neceesary respawn/set/CP distribution

currently 800 gold... Probably at the end of TF campaign I'll get 10K again

Ideally the Lion's Den in The Rift (great name fo a place to get money), Razak's Wheel in Bangkorai (imperials) and Crimson Cove in Malabar Tor (pirates)

Part of my problem is I have no interest in trading. If I find a furniture blueprint, I'll give it away to someone who needs it for free. I have no interest in housing and I don't need the money. Same with duplicates of any other motifs, recipes etc.

I tend to favour the lower levelled folks when giving things away

I would love to get into Trading and all but I have NO idea where to start tbh.

Killing human groups. If you get lucky you get 200 gold for each group killed.

Adding the items that you loot them, in two hours you can get 10K gold. Malabar Tor dungeon is by far the most profiable. Bangkorai dungeon has some imperials, but most of the money comes in the way of dwemer pieces.

When I used to play with just one main character I got to have zero gold several times in my play through. The reason was because I used that gold to upgrade my bank and inventory slots (long before the crown store, I play since beta).

After I finished upgrading them, I stayed at most about 10k since it was just one character I played and no new zones with new quests were available. Thus I began to create alternate characters for specific trade skills, one for everything about armor crafting, other for enchanting and another for provisioning and naming them accordingly. By example, Lone's Crafting Bag. Again, this was long before crown store and the crafting bag on ESO+.

Right now I sit with my 4 million gold because I sold some motifs at very high prices when the new DLC just launched. I could have 7 million by now but used the difference to buy motifs, materials, items and horse leveling I needed for my other 11 alternate characters.

At least you can sell stuff. I have to actively find buyers through chat so I can mostly only sell really good or very popular things. All my crappy motif books, or random remotely interesting loot will never be sold...

Guild requirement for being able to peddle has always been horrible imo.
My own fault for not wanting to be in a guild just to be able to peddle, sure. Doesn't make it any better though...

The best way is to wait for a guy announcing a trading guild.

Though it is not as OK as you can imagine, most of the items you can sell are also in the market and the best ones you should keep them.

Materials are more profitable, same as pots. IDK how the new items in homestead affect economy.

Kill animals that give scraps, refine, sell.
Farm ore, refine, sell.
Look in containers.

Use zone text chat to start out.

I was dirt poor for a year like the original poster. Started doing those things, managed to pile up 400k by a week ago. Paying more attention to what sells has boosted me. If my stuff sells today, I will have gone from 400k last week to a million today.

It does require some time invested. I do have a real world job and an outside life, too.

I'm at 1 Milly. The highest I've ever EVER had at 1 time. Since I'd always go broke to make this or that gold. I just started doing write on erebody. And it's all good now. I spend a little time farming. Farming is not boring when you listen to podcasts or Audiobooks. Just a nice little me time hahahahahaha

Yeah for some odd reason the latest updates to ESO brought back a ton of people that's probably why i haven't made much when i quit 1 1/2 years ago, lol

I'm still leveling, 30 right now on my first character, though I've had the game for over a year and just never played. I've been up to 20k, I break down everything for blacksmithing and clothier, except things that sell for extra gold, and I do enchanting (will work on the rest later). The only things I spend money on are riding skills, bag slots, and a few respect, but gold seems to come fairly easy it seems.

I went from 20k, down to 4k after splurging on some bag/bank space and a few respect, but I made it back up to 9k that day. I don't sell anything on the market either. I don't pay attention to quest rewards outside of gear, and because of One Tamriel, I have been finishing zones as far as I can tell; exploring everything, doing all quests I come across, waiting for anchors if people are around, and getting all sky shards. I haven't made it to endgame, obviously, but I haven't found a huge need for gold yet.

I'm down to 14m now....bought the last page of all current ore homestead motifs today. Hard times. I do wonder how some people never have any gold. Seriously farm your gear and stop buying it and stop buying gold mats. Do your writs and get them. Do some dailies and farm motifs. I make over 100k a day just from 2 dailies per toon on 7 toons. It's really not difficult nor time consuming. Too much standing at pride rock doing *** all is what's wrong.
