I'll jump right into it. The base health of my lvl 50 cp 80 mag sorc is 10k ( no food or attribute points in health ). The base health of my lvl 30 Stam DK is 19k ( no food or attribute points in health). Why is that? I find that pretty dumb. Anyone know why it's like that?

One is wearing light armor and one is wearing Heavy armor?
    Or armor enchantments?

    scaling?

Like, did you take these stats at the same place?

It's called "battle leveling", it's meant to compensate for lack of skills and equipment for lower level characters, so everything can be "on the same level" (see "One Tamriel").

    Sorry...edited my original post.

    What about armor enchants?

    Try comparing their stats naked?

It is known that characters that are scaled up do get a bit of an advantage stats-wise...but that seems a bit much.

Yeah I took off their armor and it's still a lot higher on my Stam DK

Bonus stats and simulating a split of attribute points since you don'tbhave them, one tamriel overworld scaling.

The observation from the OP makes complete sense. (Also, when at max CP the character will have more health.

First is scaling is involved and of course we don't know the set bonus being used in the lowbie.

Second it's probably a good design as newer players have more cushion while they get used to the game mechanics.

The factors as i know them are as follows...

All characters are battle scaled. take your character level and the diff between it and 50 is how many levels of buffing you get.
    So a lvl 20 character gets 30 levels bonus. a level 40 gets 10.
your armor and gear gets leveled too .but... the amount of leveling is based off your character level not the gear.
So a lvl 40 char in lvl 40 gear gets +10 each and is 50/50.
So a lvl 20 in lvl 20 gear gets +30 each and is 50/50
But a lvl 30 in lvl 20 gear gets +20 each and is 50/40.<<<----

Also, a level 40 is assumed to have spent X number of att points. A lvl 20 is assumed to have spent much less. Zeroing the atts for both or assigning them all but with different percentages will impact the final results.

Also, below lvl 20ish there is a flat-out cheat added in to buff the lower levels until they get enough of a foundation. this buff drops level by level and balances out somewhere in the mids.

it feels like 90% of the "this is screwy" stat threads have been because of the armor not being kept up to the character level.
it feels like the other 9% have been due to the early bonus.
maybe 1% have been actual bugs - like apparently hit today and was fixed.

The game and all the NPCs are scaled to CP 160. At lower levels, the game boosts your character's attributes and equipment stats so you are able to do CP 160 content.

As you level, the boost that the game gives you will decrease with every level and you have to find better gear, spend attribute points, allocate skill points, gain CPs, etc., to fill in the gaps.

Your level 30 has more hit points because the game is still giving it those hidden level 30 stat bonuses. Once you get that character to level 50, its stats will look like your other level 50 until you get better gear, more CPs, food, and so on.

For example, my level 50 has about 19k hp with a food buff active, 14k without.
