TLDW: Don't kill them, help people get infected.

In this video, two wild NPC werewolves were spotted. And throughout the night, one survives and successfully infects many players and safely despawns at dawn!
NPC wolves spawn more often on full moon nights, but are still very rare and hard to find. Often people kill them, either without knowing or to troll others. The video shows how it should be done. Congrats to everyone in the video who were lucky enough to be turned by a wild werewolf!

Most people on Xbox NA are against bite selling, too. Lots of people hang out at the shrines to give free bites. Those trying to sell are frequently ridiculed.

Would love to be a werewolf but really want to do it via the game and not just by asking someone / buying in crown store.

Have been trying to work out how, where & when on ps4 EU but get conflicting info about spawn times & places. And yes, have checked things on t'internet...

So any clues / help most appreciated

Myself have gotten 2 chars infected by wild werewolves in Bankorai Eu/Pc, was actually looking for vamps on my then vampire wanna be char when ran into them, switched chars, ran back and was happy the wolves were still alive. Got bitten and ran away, told zone chat about them and stayed to watch a while- soon more people came and got bit.
I even had time to get one more char out and get her bitten too "just in case", both wolves survived the night and many people got bites!
My vamp wannabe later found her wild vamps too, and similiar experience; a nice community we have Eu/PC, spread the love !

This is not for ps4, so maybe the spawns are different: but places I`ve seen wolves on PC myself are Bankorai south along the road from Eastern Evermore wayshrine near crossroads (were I got bit, and seen them another night too) and another place , Reapers March just a little bit west of Dune wayshrine Ive seen them a couple of times.
And full moons would be the best time of course, but may happen other times too.

Same applies to bloodfiends, BTW. I was fortunate enough to get a free bite from a player, and i pay it forward. Only time i ever saw wild bloodfiends was when i wasn't looking for a bite.

PS4 EU here and I just got my WW Skill set and got it to 6 and I went to a shrine and found a random and gave him a free bite. Its the least I can do for newer players. It took me Since day 1 PS4 to get.

Shaming players for selling bites is no different than shaming them for selling items in a guild store. Yes, they can get a bite for free, but they can also get those crafting mats for free. It is about convenience, which is why refrigerated bottled sodas are comparable in price to 2-liters.

If I see them again I will not kill them and I can heal people that want to get bitten. Although how I got bitten was on total accident, I was gathering materials and all of a sudden I get attacked and I remember that I think for a second "Wait I don't remember there being werewolves in this zone, mostly bears..."

As a new player, you just need to level, and forget about money. I made 30k getting to level 20, and I break down everything for mats, minus the stuff that sells to vendors for extra money. I never sold anything on the market, and never needed to buy anything. The only thing I have spent money on, as a new player, is mount speed, and respecs.

This is true, there are so many other great ways to make money in this game
And you also need to consider the other side of this. You say that you are poor and wanted gold, what about the people who are poor and desperately want werewolf and cannot afford the bite seller prices?

Edit: also its not the same as selling in a guild store, since that is safe, and set. But selling a bite is just asking for trouble on all fronts, it is not a trade of money. In guild stores, the money will always go to the right person.

Sellers are scammers? Could have fooled me. I and many other people have been selling every week I play since about April 2014.

Exactly. If you have troubles with gold then the best way to grind it is just go and steal & fence stuff (10 - 15K DAILY).
If you have WW or vamp one of your characters then you know how hard it is to get it in "normal" way. Whenever I see someone on chat saying WTS WW / Vamp bite.. it is just sad & pathetic. I was lucky enough to unlock it in "normal" way on one character and get a free bite on another. And I can tell you one thing:

When someone asks for WW bite I give it for free. The only thing I require simple oath: Not to sell it. Ever. Under any circumstances. After all....

I give my bites away for free, I have a werwolf on EP and a vampire on AD so if anyone ever asks I will offer

I remember paying 10k for one when it was really popular and I got scammed dude ran off, but a guy at the shrine saw it and then offered to bite me for free..he then helped me level up my skills

Actually I blame @ZOS_GinaBruno @ZOS_JessicaFolsom and the rest of the ZOS staffs for making these wild werewolves so rare to spawn that lets other players to become infected. Players are doing what comes natural... to kill enemy NPCS.

It is ZOS that promotes such behavior just so that players can become so frustrated to the point of using real life money to become a werewolf and a vampire through the crown store to bypass players asking for gold for bites, and waiting forever to find a werewolf/vampire that can bite them on certain time frame.

ZOS is the creation of this disease since greed comes first, and LORE comes second... or maybe third.


ZOS has no clue how to follow the Elder scrolls LORE without showing how greedy they are by forcing people to use RL money to become a werewolf/Vampire.

I know a guy who sells bites daily, and he almost always gets his money. Someone always buys and he ignores the people who troll him. He doesn't care because it's made him a ton of gold over time.
