Seems like there is a lot more content than there is levels

Level is irrelevant, quests are the game. Resistance is futile.

I forget how many people in these forums lack basic reading comprehension. The entire time, aside from the skill point mistake (which i fully conceided to making), i was speaking from a philosophical standpoint, trying to illustrate that watching a number rise should not be motivation to play a game. Not once did i say these things don't actually matter. I said they are busy work created by the devs to matter.

All of you ignored the message and focused only on one false warrant, like typical people who are incapable of seeing the forest for the trees.

I was under the impression that Daggerfall will get you to around level 15. I am already Level 14 and only half way through the map. I know levels don't dictate difficulty since everything is your level anyway but I would hate to get to max level and still have lots of content that is not progressing me.

Even when you hit max level, you will still have many skills to max out, so don't worry. It takes quite a while to get your morphs to IV unless you have a tonne of enlightenment. Some people also like to spend gold at a shrine to re-morph and rank up the other morph, due to skills changing and the other morph maybe suiting them better. It prepares them for the changes to have both morphs of each skill maxed.

m'kay. Know what though? Knowing you'll get stronger actually *is* a motivation to play, at least a little. I was a little disappointed in ONE thing when they brought out One Tamriel; going back to starter zones to harvest mats with my maxed out crafter who was over cp160. Being able to one shot enemies and critters that used to give me a hard time was rather satisfying.

As for your "no skill points" post; new players are going to take information at face value. In one of my guilds we had a new player who desperately wanted to grind levels as fast as possible to get to cp561. He really didn't care about the story or anything else that wouldn't get him levels. He wanted to make tons of gold as fast as he could, so he could buy ambrosia, so he could level to cp561 as fast as possible. He went to youtube and found a vid about how to get a lot of gold by killing npcs and stealing stuff. He took the information at face value. Somehow he didn't seem to get killing/stealing massive amounts = a truly horrific bounty. He did get the achievement for getting the highest bounty. He did *not* get tons of gold to buy his ambrosia. Since he wanted to level as fast as possible, he didn't want to make an alt to play for the next 6 months or so until his bounty went away. Another guild member who had the patience of Job and deserved a medal from the guildmaster took the time to walk him step by step through the Thieves' guild [or whatever it was] quest to get rid of his bounty. Shortly thereafter he left the guild and the game because he wasn't leveling fast enough.

Most of us do see the forest and the trees both. Letting really inaccurate information stand without say "um, no, that isn't right" isn't a good thing. There's another post about how expensive horses are, 42k gold....Shouldn't people point out that now horses are just skins and you don't have to shell out 42k for a horse, the 10k one works exactly the same? Forest, tree, sorrel horse, black horse......

    OP

There's a Paragon system called champion points for you to grind. Does absolutely nothing than an artificial feeling of accomplishment/hook and introduced power creep in a different flavor.

...well I can think of at least one ;)

Whilst your quasi-philosophical rant is indeed partially true, and that simply getting to max level is only a fraction of the overall experience available in this game, it isn't wrong or bad if anyone doesn't want to experience parts of the game you see as being so important.

What people take issue with is the fact that it is entirely irrelevant to the subject the OP wanted to discuss, and on top of that, you were spouting simply false information.

If you want to have a discussion about the importance of fully experiencing all ESO has to offer vs grinding, start a thread about that, but if someone is querying the rate at which you gain exp when fully completing the quests, because they're concerned about hitting a level cap before finishing all the content, simply tell the poor guy/girl that they don't have to worry about it, because they'll continue to collect champion points once they hit 50.
