No I was absolutely not going to buy a house. Never.
I bought Hundings Palatial Hall.

Are you EU PC?
I'll give you the gold to buy it in game and furnish it to a reasonable standard if you stop posting anything on these forums for 3 months.

MornaBaine wrote: »Don't do it for the following reasons:
1. Don't do it because it's stupidly expensive. You could buy 2 or 3 NEW COMPLETE GAMES for the cost of this place, especially if you do it furnished.
2. Don't do it because ZOS was lazy and put not one once of effort INTO THE HOUSE ITSELF. It is a tired copy/pasta of at least 3 other castles already in the game.
3. Don't do it because you cannot access the upper balcony or the top of the curtain wall, depriving you of all the splendid views and useable space this place SHOULD have.
4. Don't do it because the 24 player cap is ridiculous. ZOS should have very well known this cap is not in line with housing in virtually any other major game and SHOULD have known that players would be unhappy with this and should NOT have released housing until they figured out a solution to the "performance issues" that supposedly result at higher numbers of players.
5. Don't do it because you cannot access at least TWO floors that the outside of the castle shows. In fact, the interior of the castle bears NO resemblance to the floorplan that should exist based upon the exterior view of the castle.
6. Don't do it because there has not been a significant crown sale since this monstrosity came out. Half price is the only way this even BEGINS to make any sense.
7. Don't do it because the only thought or care that was put into housing was put into developing a grind for the furniture that goes along with it. And doing it in such a way as to drive frustrated players into the cash shop.
8. Don't do it because housing still has a host of bugs associated with it. DEMAND that these be fixed first.
9. Don't do it because the outside grounds are the worst and most limited of all the houses with outdoor space. The trapdoor downstairs doesn't even take you to a sliver of beach but instead dumps your character into slaughterfish infested waters.
10. Don't do it because by doing so all you will accomplish is to teach this company that they can put out a substandard product and charge you an outrageous price for it and you'll cave and let them get away with it. Wait for them to improve the value of this product or put out better houses in the future.
You should not buy it because it is an exact copy of Daggerfall Castle and Daggerfall Bank and you shouldnt pay 10k+ crowns for lazy developers copy pasting an existing world object and making it interactable.
There
(They didnt even reskin it this time!)

In my view that's the nicest house in the game. It's got good space and a great view. As much as I tried to like Overlook it's dark, doesn't feel that big and you have no view. Seriously, the copy and paste was so thoughtless ZoS didn't fix the problem with the Daggerfall Castle's towers, to whit, you can't see a damn thing because the walls are so high. What sort of a mansion has no view? Oh, and if you swim more than a few metres out from the water access (I forget its name, it's in the basement), you get eaten by slaughterfish.

More like $80, still more expensive than the game itself though.
