Why do some people suddenly leave a group at the beginning of the dungeon after queueing up?

They queue up for the dungeon in the group finder, press the ready button and then leave the group when they finally get into the dungeon leaving everyone stranded, what is the rationale?

The dungeon in question is too hard for them. You'll see a few remarks about how 'nasty' a DLC or II dungeon is. But in reality its a front. Said dungeon is simply too hard for them. They know it and if they don't see 300-500+ CP they think they can't be carried through.

I've done all of the II dungeons and DLC dungeons with newbies. They do fine if you explain the basics of a fight before hand. Even Imperial City Prison and Cradle of Shadow can be done in under 30min with a few newbies.

    1. Low levels doesn't mean bad gear. In fact a purple geared lowbie will out perform many green/blue quest geared CP leveled peeps. And even if they do, green gear is the minimum.
    2. Not all low levels are newbies. I frequently run new characters in PUG dungeons to get the feel for them. I've got both unseen CP and experience.
    3. High CP level doesn't equal skill. I've actually had more issues in normal dungeons with 400+ players than I've had with under 50 characters.
    4. DLC dungeons have some sort of scary stigma to them. They're not that bad. They require a little coordination and a little bit of attention.
    5. Normal Dungeons in ESO are some of the easiest (including DLC/II) dungeons in MMORPGs right now. With maybe the exception of SWTOR's solo and role neutral dungeons.

A newbie will be inexperienced. But the same people who won't give them the time of day, also complain about players who are CP 200+ and don't know the mechanics of a fight yet. Well no crap, you didn't encourage them to group while leveling up, of course they're not going to know the dungeon or their role.

Teach the newbies and treat them fairly. It will come back on you in a positive manner. And well if you're one of those who fears DLC dungeons and leaves because 'the group may not be able to handle it'. You need to do one of two things. Either stop queuing because some of us don't like to carry bads. Or two, realize your shortcoming and suck through it, you might get as good as the people who run these in PUGs regularly.

There's just no reason for people to spread lies, misinformation, and misconceptions about the dungeons in ESO.

For veterans. That's a different story, but you're not going to see pre-50's in those. So that's a moot point.

They typically leave at the beginning like that because one or more players have what they consider to be low CP levels. It's one reason the value should be made anonymous. That would encourage players to actually give their fellow party members a chance before they assume the worst about them.

There is a DPS gap no one wants to admit.
You have people who barely sustain 10k dps... Then you have people who sustain easily over 20k dps...
Thats twice faster, and 2 people 10k dps vs 2 people 20k plus dps... thats 4 times faster.

I mean, I agree with your points but your math.... hmm..... how to explain....

If I have an apple and you have 2 apples, you have twice as many apples.
If I have 2 apples and you have 4 apples, you still have twice as many apples.

anyone doing that on normal is a ***.

Vet I get you might think the group won't make it, you might be in a rush but then WHY pug a vet I say.

But normal, one decent player can easily carry any group through any normal.

Different point to this thread but similar complaint, My dedicated Sorc healer (561CP, decent gear but L37) joined a normal pug yesterday. A 561 and two 350. The 561 tells the others 'fake healer' and they boot me. I mean, come on.

TLDR put simply, people.should give a group a chance first

let me share a story ,

so few nights ago i went in with my temp full healer ( done trials and vet trials ) over 2.8k regen so never had problems with sustain

so there were were vet dungeon nothing special fungol grotto me cp 561 another guy cp 561 thank 456 and dps 288 .. we went in me thinking this would be quick .maybe i should keep my eye on the cp 288..so we go in dps 561 dies right away ... no chance in healing.. ok then .. me thinking i should have closer eye on him then instead ... he resses goes against the adds life keeps on going down , me heal heal heal heal heal heal heal heal heal heal heal heal heal heal heal heal heal im out of magica ..wait what ? he is dead...

wow i ran out of magica in healing that many times and he is dead? ok he goes up we proceed same thing he dies.. then starts on chat " HEALER HEAL ME USE BREATH OF LIFE WTF ARE U DOING" ... im like dude im trying... your getting one shoot what are you doing? anyway he keeps on blaming me... so i look more closer ..16k health wow... so i reply back .. hey buddy u need some food ur health is only 16k.. he replies NO I DONT NEED ANY FOOD !! " .. ok .... so we keep on going and i have to admit the guy has died maybe 40 times and i am not kidding close to 40 times while nobody else died ... even the low 288cp asked "why are you dying so many times "? and then tank asked if he was wearing HA armour to which the 561cp 16k health posted on the chat he is wearing gold pieces of moondancer and something else i can't remember...

Anyway lets just say it didn't go all that well but we managed to finish it ... im just surprised that somebody with moondancer all items golded out had only 16k health didn't want any food and keeps on getting killed so many times ive never seen anybody die like that... anyway yhea Cp means nothing

Hey, my health without buffs is 15k+ as well, using food I can buff both magicka and health by around 4k to 5k, what can I do to stay alive more often? I get 1 shotted easily when my shields are down. My main armor sets are BSW and ilambris. All except 1 heavy are light. I normally spam hardened ward and activate bound aegis to prevent health from draining but when they are down, bam 1 shot.

I always leave the group after being grouped for a dungeon because before that I already made the dungeon with friends...
This random grouping is real nonsense.

Then why bother to queue up in the first place?
