Overcrowded

I dont know if I am the only who experiences it lately: its overcrowded everywhere. More and more people gathering mats, doing quest, are in the way and run to get their mats before the other gets the chance. Just for half a year ago I could always find relative quiet places to gather mats, but the last monthes it is really getting worse. If I now gather mats in the night, in weekdays, in starters regions or where ever : it does not matter: people everywhere.
Also with questing: the hordes of people waiting to brun corpses around Riften or where ever I am questing do I have to compete with masses of other players.
Same with Dolmens.....
Is Eso getting overcrowded?

Dolmens are horrendously crowded and getting a shot in on the boss can be hard - not to mention the lag. Belkarth is horrendously packed also since 1T. I have noticed places like Wayrest and Deshaan are a lot quieter than they used to be though.

I am on PS4 NA and peak times for the states have always been horrendous, thank god I am on the other side of the world (in more ways than one :D ).
    Australian on PS4 NA server.

Made a post about that already.
seems those of us who think it is overcrowded are in the minority, so nothing will be changed.

Only solution i can think of for the time being is to play when most people will be sleeping.
So I will start timing things.

    Peak hours out.
    Off Peak in.

ZOS should give us a discount (extra exp) for driving Off Peak :)

erm... its an online game you should expect to see other players.....

if there are a lot of them perhaps it is because the game is thriving.

TBH, I liked the world before 1T, you get Cadwell silver and gold areas that is quiet and free of overcrowding.
It has varieties, if you like crowded area go do DLC areas or your faction area.
Like less crowded area and some peace, go to the other 2 factions main towns.

Wow, people complaining about crowds in an MMO. And here i thought crowds were a GOOD thing for an MMO. Isn't it like a sign of the game being successful? Lol to each their own i guess.

There does seem to be overcrowding in the easiest of places to get too (close to wayshrines). I have just changed my locations away from the hoards and into the areas that no one wants to travel too, still find unpopulated dolmens, houses that haven't been looted and a lot of unopened chest. It has really opened the game up more for me because I am not grinding the same areas for loot anymore, I was getting lazy and bored with my choice of game play, I had a routine and followed the same path every night after work to the point that I would fall asleep with the controller in my hand once and a while.

Every single performance issues outside PvP zones started when they unlocked the Alliances restrictions. Prior to it zones weren't too crowded, NPCs didn't take 5 minutes to load and we rarely crashed by just walking near a wayshrine.

We already could mix players in dungeons/trials and it was very enough but noooooooo they had to extend this stupid, ridiculously thought idea to every single content, requiring the instanced mix and dared say their system was smart to not overcrowd instances but we see hundreds of players in central areas every single day.

You've got millions from s judicial cause, with the change in Morrowind's business model you'll make at least, thinking in a very pessimistic way, 40 millions, plus ESO subscriptions and the tons of extra crowns that will be bought to satiate the Crown Store greed thst started with Crown Crates and spread wirh Homestead.

You know... Just fire your administration council, they may be competent in making money for the company at expense of the happiness of the customers that make you rich.

It's always like this after a patch. Especially since there are new crafting mats. Learn to share, there is enough for everyone.

Yeah so I hear.....as some folks tell it on the forums the game is a empty wasteland of lolfail......
No! We must ignore those crowed areas and log in queues...this game is dead because the same handful of people that has been saying it since 2014 said so. :-/

It effects FPS a little ..since there are more objects onscreen. But i am not getting any lag or crashing.

I feel your frustration @Alhatariel. I've noticed that it has gotten more crowded lately myself. I don't mind sharing nodes and mats, but sharing doesn't mean the other guys get everything while I get nothing because I'm nice. I've come across some Dolmens that were both deserted and packed with people.

I don't think the OP is necessarily complaining as much as being observant. It's great that ESO is popular and doing well and that people are enjoying it. It's frustrating when you have a limited time to play, but can't accomplish anything because you have to wait for your objective to reset since someone just killed the bad guy you were waiting for.

Perhaps it is time for ZOS to look into addressing the zone player limits and adjusting them like they said they would do when OT was implemented.

Its a common site now to break into a home and find all the NPC dead and all the containers looted with players squatting in the shadows. Makes it hard to collect blueprints. I cant find a single house to break into that isn't already occupied by multiple players.
The murder rate must have exploded around Tamriel!

I guess this more or less destroys the notion that ESO is somehow "dying".

I really like how populated ESO areas are since one Tamriel. If makes the game feel alive and vibrant.

I understand that Dolmens are zerg now, but it is still the best version we had so far.

    first: Observations are not Complains
second: the many players are NOT the problem, but the way the game handles the many players is increasingly becoming a problem for some of us (lag; re-spawn rates of essential quest items; jostling for quest NPC's; jostling for Crafting resources).

As for me: It takes three to four minutes after log-in for any player Chars to even show up and if they show up they are black for another minute or so.

Again; the number of players is not the problem but the way the game handles these numbers is a problem for some of us.

My wish: ZOS, limit the numbers of players in a zone and create parallel instances, and also adjust the quest system according to the number of players in a Zone.
