[Suggestion] Missions in the Alliance War - the answer to the AP/ Ressource disaster?

As we all know, people on Haderus EU are permaswitching keeps at the moment without doing PvP against each other, and others are sitting around Blackboot to do the same.

The intention of the change was to spread people out; and maybe it is the time to urge for instruments that really help in doing it.

The key to that end is, so I think, the implementation of competing missions.


Missions in Cyrodiil - what are they?

The basic idea of Missions is to create changing fighting hubs outside of the usual places. The stated aim of the mission is to build and hold a forward camp within the area of the specific mission. The faction that holds a forward camp there after x minutes, wins. All factions receive the same mission at the same time to create competition. If there are forward camps of different factions within the specified area, the one wins that has been standing for a longer time. Missions expire after 15 minutes, and a new mission with a new target area will be presented to each faction.

There are two types of missions:

a) missions with a target area near a home keep of one faction; those missions reward 10.000 AP to those who win and are in the target area of the mission at the moment it expires and 2000 AP for those who don´t win. Additionaly, the winning faction receives 10 points for the Alliance War.

b) missions with a target area anywhere else (preferably close to POIs) which reward 5000 AP/ 1000 AP/ 5 points respectively.

DDK ist die letzte Verteidigungslinie des Dolchsturz- Bündnisses auf der 30-Tage-No-CP- Kampagne(EU) mit dem Anspruch, in kleinen, anfängerfreundlichen Raid-Gruppen möglichst epische Schlachten auszufechten.

DDK is the Daggerfall Covenant´s last line of defense on the 30 days no-cp campaign (EU). We intend to fight epic battles in small, casual player friendly raid groups.

    I like the idea of missions, but I'd hope for something a bit more interesting than simply placing a forward camp. How about defending the residents of a town with some sort of craftable barricades and new siege items, or a mission to disguise yourself as an enemy player and infiltrate their keep to assassinate someone of specific alliance rank (perhaps even the emperor).
