It's better not getting master provisioner's writs: they may ask you to craft 8 special Orsinium gold food (which require 2 perfect roes) for something like 5 or 6 vouchers...

Master Writs are most likely on some kind of rotation and cool down. Each type of writ drops in DC, then in AD, and finally EP. A 5 or 10 minute cool down before they can drop again. So, with everyone doing those dailies, it's staying on cool down.

Imo the biggest issue is how they go about assigning the number of vouchers per a writ. There doesn't seem to be any logic in how the number of vouchers are determined.

Yeah, absolutely. I've had the same problem as you except that on 12 characters I've done 40 to 50-some writs a day since it launched, thus at least 2400 writs. There seems to be very, very little effect from traits/motifs known, etc. on chance of getting a writ of the voucher reward of writs granted.

I've had one master writ reward over 50 vouchers, one for a nirnhoned legendary twice born star battle axe for 324 vouchers.

Nope.

Every quest completed. All research done in all crafts. All motifs learned. 23.6k achievement points. I may get one master writ for 7 vouchers a week on that crafter, and the alts learning motifs now receive none.

Participation has no bearing, or, it seems, a counter-effect.

Damn compared to my "3 effect poison" which cost nothing to make.

Getting a master writ caps out a certain %. I run 20 characters a day through all six writs and the data I have collected has taught me a lot. I can't pin point everything to an exact decimal point but from what I have been able to figure out is maxing everything needed to get master wrist leaves you with about a 20% chance to get one. It seems to me with blacksmithing clothing and wood working each trait and full motif book adds a VERY small chance to increase that drop rate. It takes a lot of research time and motif hunting to make those writs give that 1 in 5 chance of dropping.

Alchemy and enchanting are easy to Max out for master writs via the info they gave us on the pts forums. Then as most of us have figured out or already know provisioning is broken.

I have a fresh new DK with 2 points into BlackSmithing with ZERO MOTIFs and received 1 the other day. Of course I couldnt make the master writ so i tossed it into the bank for my main crafter. I was only doing the writs for the anniversary boxes anyway, but ended up with a bonus!
