No wonder my BAR and hand grenades are not in my inventory.

    Thanks for clearing that up!

U are welcome, always nice to help all those gamers out there who get confused when seeing that their BF1 or CoD has suddenly turned medieval.

Lmfao, hilarious! I was gonna say something more constructive but this blew it right outta there.

Let''s face it, the majority will just do their own things as long as ESO doesn't provide new content which strongly motivates ("ADHD") gamers to play the campaign in an organised way, in teams. As things are now one can argue that I'm wipping a dead horse. After all, I myself took a year pause from ESO partly because there was no new content. So I get those who are tired of running the emp ring. Empires fall. Cyrodiil has fallen, more or less. Campaign RIP?

I've seen strategic group gameplay. However I usually only ever see it in the form of AP Farms, or last night when the Pact was in the middle of a siege at a DC keep that had our Scroll, an AD group came from the side and wiped us, leaving the DC alone. This is a three way war yet one side helped their enemy keep our scroll.

Have changed much of my view about "CoD players" and ap farmers.

Partly because there is no contradiction between farming ap and winning the campaign. In a good ts guild one easily gets 100k ap in 2-3 hours taking keeps, in the evenings, monday-thursday, and between 250 and 600k ap each day in the weekends. You can then get the Legate black dye in 5-7 months.

In this thread I have, in a way, whined my heart out that Cyrodiil has become a gigantic sandbox for CoD players, but have the last days become much more tolerant toward "no rules pvp", when I realised, after a year pause from ESO, that it's really easy to get ap nowadays, and thereby Legate black which I have always wanted.

(Didn't notice how easy it is to get ap now until I, a couple of days ago, changed from my new non-vet alts to my old main toon which became colonel in 2015, when it took longer to get ap. A relatively quick Legate keeps me playing despite the general poor state of Cyrodiil today.)

Trueflame seems to be mostly "no rules" solo and skirmishes. Many old-timers there. Azura appears to be more about the campaign, at least from the viewpoint of my ts guild.

Strategic gamers should be satisfied as long as each alliance has at least 2-3 ts guilds active, fighting for the campaign. Then we can do our thing, and let others do what they want.

Play which ever style you think is fun, and don't care about what others think. For example, it doesn't matter whether a particular playstyle is considered by elitists to be unskillful or not, as long as you enjoy it. After all, each of us play this game only to have fun, and not to live up to the ideals of elitists. Always smile a little when elitists talk about cheesy gear and playstyles, because a computer game, being a keyboard warrior, is always cheese compared to real war. But it's still fun, so who cares?

I like playing solo, waiting around at flags and listening to dorks on team play is not my idea of a good time.

Btw, never criticised solo players as such, only the view that Cyrodiil is MAINLY "no rules" pvp. The Cyrodiil game design is mainly about the campaign. As it should be. But when ESO doesn't provide new campaign content, one can't really blame gamers for ignoring the campaign. So play as you want, and strategic gamers should be fine with that, because the campaign in Azura is still okay in the evenings.
