I'm on ps4 and people are all of a sudden psyched for the set for the coming dlc... so what am I missing that made it better or more desired? Or are people just full of it?

Almost. But I've done some pretty oddball builds in other games so I gave the guy a shot. And was pleasantly surprised. I've learned in games, and I've been playing them since before hard drives, people will surprise you.

BSW was already awesome and strong before homestead though

Fire staff gets a buff for single target damage this patch, could be that.

It outperforms every single Magick DPS set in the game. Especially with proc sets getting critical nerfed. The raw spell damage is better long term than procs.

BSW was BIS even before the update. Twice Born Star used to be a really good alternative but with the change to agresssive warhorn it just fell too far behind, so every magicka class will be running BSW now. The only decent alternative is scathing on a NB, but NBs can't compete with Sorcs atm...

It hasn't been BIS since 1T dropped, and not for PVP since way before then. They introduced new dungeon sets that are FAR better than anything crafted.

The crafters are mad, the players are busy farming set items, and the devs don't care.

Even tbs was nerfed ( ( not tbsdirectly but people are not so hyped of tbs after horn nerf )
