i never cared for the forums, so i never signed up with my invite code.
but then after screwing up 2 character builds and my friends ditching the game, until recently i started soloing by myself, realizedf the benefits of the forums and after several emails, had Zos sign me back up. if it was dated from when i got my code it would have been the day it released on XboxOne, for which i have the Collectors Edition hardcopy with the exceptionally overpackaged Statuette of the Prince of Lies himself.

But thanks for taking an interest in my life, kind stranger

there's only so much build/dungeon/boss/gear/ability/buff/nerf talk that a person can do...at the end of the day it's an mmo and about people...

good luck with your character and maelstrom arena...

    (real thought about that arena)

there are no "screwups" with builds, just learning experiences/another step on the road to success/opportunities for improvement/really expensive and frustrating errors...okay, maybe there is a screwup here or there...

Respect the teh pro players from Counter Strike? Lol You think twitchy finger gamers should be held in any kind of regard above everyone else? OP had some legit points about PvP, but then showed their underlying Elitism.

Not sure why every tom *** and harry feels the need to lecture everyone about how they want them to play and what to wear ..that's what guild groups are for.. mind you're own.

I love when a guildie invites me to a 24 man group, where they have riden by horse 20 miles behind enemy lines, and yell at me to get on crown within 2minutes of me joining the group.

    1) L2P solo, and respect and learn from solo players that are better than you.

Could make a whole new thread about this one sentence right here, cause that's how important it is.

And I goof off in my accidental 1v1s. xpNv4Rv.png

New or old player, if you are good enough and have the gear to support your ambitions, walk Cyrodiil solo like bosses do.
Uncomparable satisfaction in 1vXing that a zerger cannot even imagine.

But, if everyone played like this all the time, who would siege the objectives, how would campaigns be won, how would emperors get crowned... or dethroned? PVP in Cyrodiil is not 1v1v1v1v1v1v1v1v1v1v1v1v1.... etc, it is AvAvA.

Honestly, I get great satisfaction when my "zerg" finally dethrones the emp that has been defending his last castle for hours or days with his own zerg. I get great satisfaction when my group defends our last emp keep against hordes of opposing players. I get great satisfaction when my small group finally takes Rayles... or even an outpost... in a red or yellow dominated campaign after banging our heads against the wall for hours. And yes, I get great satisfaction when I 1vX... even if they are all low level or inexperienced players. There are so many different opportunities for different types of PVP in Cyrodiil... it all depends on the player and what is fun for them.

All that being said, it is simple for me: if I am in a group, I am going to follow crown... If I decide that the crown or the group is not for me, then I am going to leave the group.

I'd rather advice new players to solo and learn for them selves. Zerging won't make you any better imo.

This thread confirms that strategic gamers and solo players have very different approaches to Cyrodiil. Not bad in itself, but Cyr was not primarily intended to be a gigantic sandbox for solo players. Like it or not, it's mainly a team game.

Zerging will not help the campaign, but the main reason EP was good in 2015 was organised TS guild raids. Now we suck. Why? Because not enough players want or know how to fight in a way which makes it possible to win the campaign.

If you want to win duels, then go solo and learn that playstyle. But if you are in a group, and the crown clearly gives orders, then play as a team, or leave the group.

Hopefully, Morrowind's battleground are so attractive and fun that most solo players and random casuals will prefer to spend time there instead of joining a group in Cyrodiil and not play as a team.

It's good that ESO can offer a variety of game options to as many different people as possible, like "playing house" in Homestead or spending time on fishing or crafting, because it strenghtens the game as a whole and keeps it alive.
