I've mainly played PvP since the beginning of 2015, and been with the best guilds and trains at EP, so can compare old Thornblade with how Proctard City has worked since the new sets got introduced. I have always sucked at duels, partly because I got narcolepsy, so I was always weak as solo NB in Thornblade, but still got 250k ap a day, by doing one very simple thing:
STACK AT CROWN!
After a year pause I went back to Azura, joined a very good and organised German pvp guild, even though I hardly understand German on TS, and the ap kept rolling in just by staying close to the crown. It's incredibly easy. One can even use the Exterminatus addon to make it easier.
Cyrodiil is mainly strategic GvG: groups fighting groups in a strategic way. But many newbies and casual players appear to think that Cyrodiil is like Call of Duty pvp. And many appear to don't give a *** about strategic gaming in the first place. They join a group, and run all over the place without following orders. It's like joining a game of chess and then refuse to follow the rules and best strategies of the game. This is the main reason why many of the best group leaders have left Cyrodiil. It's the undisciplined gamers, not the gear or game mechanics, that have always been the main problem in Cyrodiil.
If you are not good enough to fight veteran solo players, then join a good guild where you basically have to follow only one rule in order to get ap and a good kd ratio: stack at crown. If you for some reason don't like that, then do the following:
1) L2P solo, and respect and learn from solo players that are better than you.
2) join CS and see how long you will survive against pro gamers there.
3) buy Call of Duty
4) wait for Morrowind which will have pvp more like CoD it seems.
5) stop whining about Cyrodiil being unbalanced, (and instead whine about lack of new strategic GvG content).
