Advice to average gamers in Cyrodiil

I've mainly played PvP since the beginning of 2015, and been with the best guilds and trains at EP, so can compare old Thornblade with how Proctard City has worked since the new sets got introduced. I have always sucked at duels, partly because I got narcolepsy, so I was always weak as solo NB in Thornblade, but still got 250k ap a day, by doing one very simple thing:

STACK AT CROWN!

After a year pause I went back to Azura, joined a very good and organised German pvp guild, even though I hardly understand German on TS, and the ap kept rolling in just by staying close to the crown. It's incredibly easy. One can even use the Exterminatus addon to make it easier.

Cyrodiil is mainly strategic GvG: groups fighting groups in a strategic way. But many newbies and casual players appear to think that Cyrodiil is like Call of Duty pvp. And many appear to don't give a *** about strategic gaming in the first place. They join a group, and run all over the place without following orders. It's like joining a game of chess and then refuse to follow the rules and best strategies of the game. This is the main reason why many of the best group leaders have left Cyrodiil. It's the undisciplined gamers, not the gear or game mechanics, that have always been the main problem in Cyrodiil.

If you are not good enough to fight veteran solo players, then join a good guild where you basically have to follow only one rule in order to get ap and a good kd ratio: stack at crown. If you for some reason don't like that, then do the following:

1) L2P solo, and respect and learn from solo players that are better than you.

2) join CS and see how long you will survive against pro gamers there.

3) buy Call of Duty

4) wait for Morrowind which will have pvp more like CoD it seems.

5) stop whining about Cyrodiil being unbalanced, (and instead whine about lack of new strategic GvG content).

I just utterly dislike following rules, orders, kings, dogmas, religions...
    Especially blind-fully.

You are explaining new players how to zerg properly in fact, right ?

New or old player, if you are good enough and have the gear to support your ambitions, walk Cyrodiil solo like bosses do.
Uncomparable satisfaction in 1vXing that a zerger cannot even imagine.

    Xv1 ing is so lame.

Yes I know, probably a matter of personal temper, but still....

Getting nerds and liberals to follow orders is like herding cats :) I'm an old rebel myself, more punk than most of you have been, I can safely assume, but if you want to win in a strategic game, in a group, it's totally counterproductive to not follow the best strategies and tactics of the game.

Subhuman, a legendary leader in EP, is a punk dj, and Karisha is a degenerate :) , so if these guys can rule in a strategic military game, then so can most other keyboard "rebels" too :)

And I'm talking about organised groups (or trains), not zergs.

    @TequilaFire

In lack of new content in Cyr, vet players will get tired of the same siege routine that has not changed in 2 years. Everyone hoped that IC would provide new challenges, but it only brought an insane gear grind, a monotonous grey stone city and a boring dungeon, which destroyed the pvp community, at least in EP.

I dislike the stack on crown mentality, its boring game play. I occassionally group with bigger groups who spam invites coonstantly just to help the pact. What i cant stand is some douch bag barking commands, and yelling at people. Half the time their strategy is stupid, and some of the time they use the group for their perspnal design. If a crown is worth following the group will listen. If your group isnt listening its your fault.

Additionally you should trust your players to know what to do. If im a nightblade and i run 30 meters ahead im scouting. If you are stacking in the courtyard but not moving out for 5minutes dont be mad im defending the resources.

Stack on crown is the worst, just because you have 24 ppl doesnt mean you cant break the group up and play diversly, or try advanced tactics and flanks.

I've been soloing around out in Cyrodil just because its how I train. Facefirst, straight into the churning tempest.

Its not like my dude can die forever, and I learn something new with most encounters.

When death is meaningless, everything is just a learning experience.

Someday, sooner than later I think, I'll be a terrorist 1vXing my way around like a raid boss.

I'm not there yet. It'll come as I learn, hone and refine.

Zerging bores me to sleep. Its about as exciting as farming crafting mats.

I don't care about where the crown is or what they are doing, the more people in my area, the more lag and DCs I have.

I tend to travel around, sometimes alone, sometimes with a friend, monitoring zone chat, going to help defend or attack whichever resource is currently being fought over. I'll join the fight, set up siege where I can, repair walls and doors after the fight, heal, help, res anyone who dies near me - all of those things you can do without having to be as good as anyone else.

You definitely do not have to 'git gud' to enjoy Cyrodiil, be useful to your alliance, get AP and move up in rank. I'll never be emperor but neither will most people who venture into Cyrodiil.

So all that don't stay on crown and are bored with siege explains why campaigns are lost.
I guess they would rather stand around inside the keep not jumping down from the wall and wait for ticks.
In a good group if you are not on crown with the group and are across the map don't be surprised if you get kicked.
A battle unit is not a democracy.

Being on crown doesn't mean literally in all cases, it does mean paying attention to crown.
Crown may say left side of group go one way while right side goes another.
But if you are in a group you do not play solo.

I have to say I agree with you. When I ran with fellow guildies and/or organized groups the experience was extremely fun. Taking a keep or repelling an attack actually felt like teamwork and it felt like it was something accomplished together as a group.

Whenever I join a group in Cyrodiil now (since I play in a timezone that most NA users don't) it amazes me how people don't stack on the crown and follow directions. At best, they veer off from the group to do something else forcing someone to go back and rez them. At worst, they're on the other side of the map joining another group or going solo.

As a general rule when I play, I am always by the crown's side unless given directions to do something else. Otherwise, I just run around solo.

I show on the outside how i feel on the inside, what you see is what you get.
The way i dress has everything to do with who i am, it is a reflection of my personality. I doubt you'll understand ...

Depends on how good the group leader is.
I have good ones and I have had bad ones. There are Tactical leaders and there are Zerg leaders. I had group leaders grind us endlessly between Nikel and Roe whille, EP Takes Alessia and Faire.

I actually cannot zerg, the lag and FPS lag is just too high and I can't actually play the game in zerg, I need to be somewhere other than the main battle, backdooring resources and keeps.
