Character recustomisation token.

I have used 2 of these things, first character i used it, got fixed frim minor error i made couple years ago when i created the character, the second character who needed retweaking went more wrong than right.

First. The recustomisation screen should have the personalities available in the collectibles so that you can see the character in all of them, there should also be few lightning options available. There should also be "Stationary" pose where the character does not move at all and has a pose that makes all figures clear to see withut shadows or anything.

Lastly, i dont think it is unreasonable to ask, that the token should stay active on the character where it was used for 24 hours after first use so that if there are errors, they can be corrected and also that player can see how the charactyer looks and feels in the gameworld while playing. I dont think many of us will buy new token very soon after anyways.

yeah customization is tricky business. In Skyrim for w/e reason, you do your appearance outside with AWFUL shadows and you can't even spin yourself fully around (maybe that's to make it more realistic, but it's character customization, so to actually make it realistic, do it out of the gameworld). Oblivion had its own issues with my colors always changing but maybe that was my game messing up.

Anyway customization tokens are pretty expensive for what customization can possibly entail (2k or 2.5k crowns?); for example, someone might only need to change ONE feature while somebody else might want to change ALL of them. The price is fair if you're changing a LOT of features. I like your idea about the token lasting for 24 hours to play and make changes for the character that you used the token on.

If not, the tokens need to cost less, and possibly only let you change 1-5 things or something like that, and buying another would let you change more.

I also think everyone would benefit from being able to change certain aspects that are realisitically easily changeable (ie. hair color and style, makeup, jewelry and piercings, weight) for a lower price token or in-game gold. People change things like hair and jewelry IRL by the day, and sometimes even more often than that. I would think a greater amount of people would be buying lower price tokens to change hairstyle by the week or so.

I liked the way SWTOR did this, there was a "Vendor" machine at some stations which you accessed like plastic surgeon or what ever it is in galaxt far far away.. It felt immersive to the setting and the pricing was reasonably implemented.

Every time you used that station, you had full range of options avaiolable from minor change to full redo including race and gender change.

If you just changed your hair or something very small like tuned slider just a litle in some area, the price was negletable, the more you change, the more expensive the end result became.

There was no in game currency involved, all was done withcurrency bought with real money.

Something similar could be nice too, the token would always be there available and you would not have to buy it from crown store. The payment and end total would be calculated by number of changes you do.

This could also be moved to some houses in some larger towns to make it more immersive and naturally, houses should have mirror for jewellery and hair change, also face painting, hair color and such what you naturally would do at home.

The bigger changes could be done by some master mage around towns.

That would be great but the 24 hour availability on character the token is used would be great too.

IMO, this is the only right way to do this, and ZOS not doing it this way is the reason I went from expecting to tweak every one of my characters (and spend a decent amount of money doing so) to deciding to live with my appearance on every single character (and spend not one penny on appearance change).

Basically money in the bank that they turned down.

They could also make subscription more valuable by making appearance change free for all subscribers. The race change and name change should be always stay on real money service though the name change price is idiotic.

Yes. I had to use 2 tokens just to get the right height on my DK. I had made her too small for my taste. After the first token she looked good in the editor, but was still too small in game.
