NA server is up, EU is still down for about 4.5hs..so yeah they should know by now.

My download is going so ridiculously slowly that I am not sure I will be on NA server that much earlier than EU

You could log onto the US server and see for yourself. I think that's how it works now. We can all switch between the two without having the game installed twice.

considering that the furnished crown value of manors is about 50k+ crowns, 15k (for EP castle) is "cheap" in consideration (not saying that it's cheap in general)

So, the difference between furnished and unfurnished, and the list price of the furniture, ala carte, means that either the Crown furniture is a lot cheaper, or the unfurnished price is a horrible deal, because they jacked it up to help make the furnished prices not look so bad.

I would say this is the reason - they're making the Crown store furnished option look great vs buying an unfurnished option either through paying gold or Crowns.

Although unless you're broke in game gold buying smaller houses using gold still looks like the better option.

They really overpriced houses and furnishings in the Crown store, it's really quite nasty and abusive.
