Did you save up for Homestead?

    I don't care about Homestead.
I don't care about furnishings or other non-functional nice-to-look-ats. So as long as I can't store items in the house or have full access to merchants and banks, all I'm possibly going to get is a small room for a DPS test dummy.
    Kind regards,

Allow me to boast of my extreme wealth exceeding 5m gold.
I'm at 5,8 million right now, I'll buy the Domus Phrasticus for 295K then some of the schievement based furnishings, and start working on acquiring the crafting schematics...
I won't spend too much gold on the houses, will take my time on the stuff really. I'm at work right now, so, no hurry.. xD

I bought every single rakeipa I could find on the guild traders.

    But why?

To corner the market and make money of course.

You know, cornering the market, the one thing the defenders of this broken trade system tell us can't happen in ESO and only ever happens in games with an AH. Yeah... ...right.

    All The Best

Ehh I'm actually planning on using a lot myself. I don't have a crafting bag so I wasn't saving them before, but then I heard that for some reason rakeipa is used in many recipes.

I'm poor to begin with and saved nothing or an insignificant amount.
I've played around with housing on the PTS and determined that I'll enjoy decorating a house, but not to the point where I'm in any rush to get one, it's something interesting to do when I come across a nice furnishing. I'll stick with the free inn rooms for now and save money gradually for the house I want (Mournoth Keep, 325,000).

I did save up almost 30,000g which is a lot for me, but then I decided I'd rather get another bank upgrade so I spent almost all of it and I'm back down to under 5,000g.

(I've also decided I'm "allowed" to spend £10 on housing, but as it looks like that won't be enough to buy a house I want I'll save it until I find furnishings I really want and give up on finding or crafting them in-game.)

so i have all this gold, but i'm not really motivated to buy a house for a number of reasons.

mainly, no storage and the fact that messing about with furnishings is going to force even more inventory juggling, etc.

if they sort that out, i might be interested.

    might.

practice dummy is the only thing worth having, imho, and i'm wondering if it will fit in the free inn room.

I'm not a high enough level in crafting to even be able to GET rakeipa (I think), so I'm not sure how that's going to work out for me. :# I hope that lower-level characters will still be able to craft furniture. If not, my house will be empty for a long, long time. That sucks A LOT.

I don't really spend money on anything in eso, so I haven't bothered to make any in a long time. Buuuut housing motivated me to sell some stuff. I'm console, so I'm hoping to get to 3 mill by our release.
I'm legit going to start small and try to minecraft-in-eso to keep myself busy until Morrowind.

My savings is under 1 million for Homestead.
I'm really impressed people have been able to save so much money. I've gotten up to a few million in the game- but the moment I try to gold out and new build, try to get on a leader board , its a huge hit on gold- and i ve maxed out all crafting disciplines too- so its not like i can't make my own things here - but
pvp: buying potions, ingredients for potions, siege, repair kits, etc- a big hit on my gold - basically its an exchange of gold into AP - but the AP dosent really come back into gold with the items u can get from rewards of the worthy- such as fury sets, etc. - not real big gainers there. And the RNG loot boxes from cyrodil - ravager, etc, not into playing that RNG game either.
pve-: farming maelstrom is a massive gold sink. the repairs, potions, and the repairs the repairs the repairs. basically each round costs around 100 gold with no deaths- so that s 1000 gold every run - no death. best case scenario- for items that can't be sold. and for the most part- items that we dont want- looking at u decisive maelstrom restoration staff/staves...

i wish they d allow us to at least- sell some of the things from maelstrom that aren't maelstrom weapons- such as the permafrost, winter born, etc - sets.

the only way to make money in this game consistently is to actually farm- farm items like 7th legion , sun- etc - or writs - or do lots of dungeons and sell off those items as ur trying to get ur sets . but either way - its repetitive, low difficulty content - over and over- i.e- farming. or its writs- where players with crafting bags, and large resource pools to start with - can profit.

whereas the most competitive content in the game, cyrodil, trials, maelstrom, actually drains resources and gives us nothing but BOP items that we can't turn around for profit. - but it seems like it should be the other way around no?
maybe I'm doing it wrong of course- and would love for someone to show me how to make money from pvp, trials and solo content.

I got enough money for whatever house, but I won't buy any for now, as they do not bring a real advantage.

What I will buy (after the first month when prices are extortionate) are the new Shadows of the Hist dungeon motifs... even if it's just for completions sake.

I worked to save under 500,000 gold in the bank.
I've been farming for thief for about three weeks, and have a little over 300k to show for it.

If only I didn't intend to get all nine of my characters houses, I'd be done. XD
    Living vicariously through my characters.

    My Girls:
"If you were trapped in your house for, say, a year, how would you pass the time?"

Nephikah the Houseless, dunmer assassin: "I suppose I could use the break. I have a lot of business holdings now that need management."
Swum-Many-Waters, elderly argonian healer: "I think that I would enjoy writing a memoir."
Silh'ki, khajiit warrior-chef: "Would this one be able to go outside, to the nearby river? It's hard to fish without water!"
Peregrine Huntress, bosmer hunter: "Who is forcing me to stay inside, and where can I find them?"
Lorenyawe, altmer mechanist: "And why would I want to go outside in the first place? Too much to be done in the workshop."
Lorelai Magpie, breton master thief: "I'd go nuts. Lucky for me, I have a little experience sneaking out!"
Rasheda the Burning Heart, redguard knight: "I would continue my training to keep my skills sharp."
Hex-Eye Azabi, khajiit daedric priestess: "I suppose it would be lucky, then, that I built a shrine to Mephala in my backyard."
Yngva Stormhammer, nord bandit (reformed...ish): "I hate being inside even when I'm not forced to be. GET. ME. OUT."
Madam Argentia, vampire dunmer aristocrat: "I suppose it would be more of the same. I have a rather... contentious relationship with the sun."
Mazie gra-Bolga, orc scout: "Uh... I'd have to house train my bear..."
Felicia the Wanderer, imperial witch-for-hire: "What Lorelai said."
Calico Jaka-dra, retired khajiit pirate: "This one would like a rest from her grand adventures. Her jewel shop runs out of stock!"
Shimmerbeam, blind altmer psijic: "Provided that I am confined to Artaeum, I do not think I will want for things to occupy my time."
Shauna Blackfire, redguard necromancer: "Sounds like paradise. I hate people."
Kirniel the Undying, cursed bosmer warrior: "I would feel useless, not being able to fight."
Echoes-from-Dragons, argonian who thinks she's a dragon: "All the better to count my hoard!"
