Should I unsubscribe from ESO+?

Given the situation with the Morrowind Expansion, I am simply wondering if it would be more prudent of me to save my money by cancelling my subscription for the next few months. One of the main reasons I subscribed to ESO+ is because I was under the impression that I would no longer have to worry about paying for newly-released content. Now, however, since ZoS has created an arbitrary distinction between two things which are essentially the same, I'm wondering if it is really worth it. What are the benefits of ESO+ aside from access to newly-released content (which we can't necessarily count as a benefit now)?

Go ahead, if u think being sub is not a way forward!

There have been rumours about Clockwork City for ages (probably two years). That was never released as DLC, but ESO+ members might have "paid" for its development.
So? So did everyone that bought the base game in that time. So did everyone that purchased crowns during that time. Nowhere in the ESO+ marketing materials have they ever published that you get to rent a developer to work on anything in particular.
Also, we were promised DLC delivered approximately every 3 months.
You were told to expect a named DLC every 3 months, and that was the plan ... over a year and a half ago! They kept to that schedule for 5 releases. I fail to see how something mentioned at a conference over a year before 1 tamriel was released continues to be brought up as a sort of immutable gospel truth or promise for every single ESO+ sub since then.

Edit: they kept the schedule for 5 releases, not 4. I always forget about SotH, it made that much of an impression on me.

We were told to expect quarterly DLC... TODAY

" In addition to bringing new Chapters to you during the second quarter of each year, we do plan to continue offering DLC game packs during the other three quarters which will still be available to ESO Plus members as part of your subscription."

Which is probably why it keeps being brought up as immutable gospel truth - because it's what ZoS are still saying themselves.

    Do keep up.

I'd say if you feel the need to ask then you should unsubscribe, at least until midsummer to see how things pan out.

Crafting at this point is arguable useful. Most armor and weapons you can craft are sub par compared to drops and quest rewards. Enchanting, provisioning, and alchemy have pretty good use, and that's where a lot of your storage space will be taken up but even then there is a finite amount of different types of materials and holding onto more than a stack of each one is more hoarding than anything and can easily be muled to characters you aren't currently playing. Heck, getting 2 copies of Morrowind for $40 a pop might be more cost effective and have a dedicated mule account.

I really don't think ZoS is thinking this through and are expecting those who are angry to stay subbed or renew their subs after things quiet down...but they really have devalued what subs bring. Even the crafting bag, the last hold out for a lot of subscribers, can be offset more cheaply now with their new proposed model.

So with a new $40 chapter each year, and 3 DLC's roughly the size of hist = $85-100 a year, unless they greatly inflate the price of those DLC's. They've kinda boxed themselves in here, since any DLC less than the size of IC or Wrothgar wont justify a price more than 2000 crowns.
