One of the main reasons I subscribed to ESO+ is because I was under the impression that I would no longer have to worry about paying for newly-released content. Now, however, since ZoS has created an arbitrary distinction between two things which are essentially the same, I'm wondering if it is really worth it. What are the benefits of ESO+ aside from access to newly-released content (which we can't necessarily count as a benefit now)?

Nowhere in the ESO+ marketing materials have they ever published that you get to rent a developer to work on anything in particular.I_killed_Vivec wrote: »There have been rumours about Clockwork City for ages (probably two years). That was never released as DLC, but ESO+ members might have "paid" for its development. You were told to expect a named DLC every 3 months, and that was the plan ... over a year and a half ago! They kept to that schedule for 5 releases. I fail to see how something mentioned at a conference over a year before 1 tamriel was released continues to be brought up as a sort of immutable gospel truth or promise for every single ESO+ sub since then.I_killed_Vivec wrote: »Also, we were promised DLC delivered approximately every 3 months.
Edit: they kept the schedule for 5 releases, not 4. I always forget about SotH, it made that much of an impression on me.
