That "ice wall" is sleet storm.

""Sleet Storm, one of the new Warden abilities. This ability creates a hailstorm around the caster to deal damage and reduces the impact of incoming attacks for the Warden and his allies.""

Sounds defensive yea, but sounds like it also will put out a decent annount of damage. Like a sorcs hurricane on steriods.
I wouldn't be a bit surprised if there was a damage morph and a defensive morph.

Hell, I would be even less surprised if they made the Warden come out on top in several roles (DPS and healing, for example) right after release. It doesn't have to be by much, just enough for the min-maxers to say that it's the top dog. After that, they'll gradually reduce the Warden's power to bring it more in line with the other classes.

I doubt the warden will be a top damage dealer. From the looks of it, the class will be heavier on healing and tanking than on damage, more like a templar.
Yeah, having seen a more detailed description of the class, I agree. At the time, though, all we had to go off of was Sleet Storm's animation, a very vague description of Sleet Storm, and the bear ult.

Although Templars are still exceptional damage dealers, so I don't think it's fair to compare them to Templars in that regard.

Actually the Warden will be more or a "Ranger" sporting medium armor and using the class dps skill line 'animal companions' to supplement the bow.

Rich Lambert stated that he hopes people can make a proper pure bow dps out of the class.

That's one option, sure, but I plan on going frost tank myself.

Oh any class can tank/heal Warden won't be an exception, but its primary dps roll will probably be a ranger.

Warden with necropentence = 50k magicka ice mage.

Too bad the bear will most likely do physical damage. It would be awesome if there was a morph where it did magic damage.
    Bosmer Stamina NB
    Altmer Magicka TEMP
Dunmer DK both stam/mag (depends what I feel like)
    Altmer Magicka NB
    Breton Magicka Sorc
    Redguard Stam Sorc
    Max CP

Really hoping they add a cold damage morph to the bear. Polar bear maybe fit the theme ? I really want to get as much damage out of the bear as a magicka spec. (Like the DK leap ultimate they added fire to)

I think it'd be fair to add it to the insta revive bear morph. Like if the bear can magically revive it can do magic or cold damage ;)

Although i'd love to have it on the execute. Stamina have lots of executes already B)

Since this is the latest thread for this, I'll leave this image here, so maybe OP can put it in their post.

From what this says, Warden's are going to run MagPlars out of a job. 2/3rds of the Warden's Skills are focused on Shields and Healing, which means they're going to be the next super Healer in Undaunted Groups. Not to mention that Lotus skill provides a Damage Buff, assuming just like what Dragonknights do, Major Brutality/Sorcery on demand.

Thing is though, I'm not seeing many Cold Damage based attack skills here, and that's the one thing people have been wanting from a new class now is a decent Ice Mage build. The only great sounding thing there is the Winter's Embrace Ultimate which basically sounds like an Ice Bomb. How different will this be compared to the Ice Staff Destro Ultimate?

and all DW skill line is slightly executive.

The problem is that there is no magicka weapon execute. So magDKs cannot use any.

Yea this is what I was implying. There may not be a ton of stamina straight up executes, but alot of weapon skills have it somewhat baked into their skills.

Would be nice to see something added to Destruction that has a bit of execution.

I just want to keep repeating myself in these threads per chance that the warden bear is given a viable majicka option. It would probably make the most sense to give the execute to the stamina morph imo. Insta revive morph with cold damage would be nice for all those magickas running necropotence.

What do you mean? The Bear is one of the Ultimates, which I assume either Stamina or Magicka builds can use, even if it sounds like something that will do Physical damage.

I mean I hope the bear has a morph so the damage is changed from physical to cold, to benefit from passives, CPs and the like. Unless ultimate pets don't benefit from CPs at all? I'm not sure.

I just want it to be a competitive ultimate for magicka dps really. I'm just throwing this out there because they have done this to the DK leap ultimate already. Giving the fire mages an option of getting a lot of juice out of it instead of it being physical only.
