I assume there's little to no information out at the moment? Do we know anything about the nature and pet trees other than the bear ultimate?

Kinda hoping the nature tree gets some healing spells so we have a contender with templar for healing. Also hoping the pet tree has a bee swarm attack.

Looking forward to finally having a Druid like class in eso. I quit playing a year ago but this might just bring me back.

No information has been released yet. Rich said on stream it would be coming over the next months via all the normal news sources.

I would imagine they want to get Homestead out the door and working to an acceptable level before they give too much info on Morrowind.

That or they're saving it for the next forums revolt...

Obviously they learned from past mistakes with sorcerer pets. By making the summon an ultimate, it isn't taking up valuable ability bar real estate. Granted you still lose an ultimate, but that's preferable to taking up 2-4 ability slots for sorc pets

Give me a spammable stam melee attack like Surprise Attack, and an un-blockable CC like fossilize, and I'll be in Stamina heaven.

The bear summon is only ONE animal companion. They have another tree with other animals that might take up slots.

The three skill lines that have been datamined:

    Winter's Embrace
    Green Balance
    Animal Companions

Bear is prob gonna be the Ulti of Animal Companions (duh :p )

There are also NPC enemies in the game using the class (since it's an old class that got cut from the final game): Shamans, Mystics and Beast Masters/Rangers. They have certain abilities:

    - Slow traveling Ice Orb that CCs
    - Shield Other
    - Totem of Protection
    - Green Bat (prob Magicka Ranged Spammable from Green Balance)
    - Horn that summons an animal

So there's a bit of an overview of what the class is gonna be capable of

Because from the way it was described in the Live stream... he mentioned summoning a Cliff Racer, but made it sound like it was for a specific attack... they pretty much made it seem like the Bear is the only permanent summon available.

Ardent flame is obviously magicka based too,and still has stamina skills.

There's no reason to assume that the warden will be designed any differently than the other classes. Zos knows they made a mistake at launch by making all class skills magicka based, and they've been trying to correct that mistake for a long time. They aren't going to go back and repeat it again

I can't wait to see this ice massive explosion thing showed in the trailer. I suppose it will be an ultimate of the winter's embrace skill line. I'm sure it will look great.

Other than that, in the trailer we also saw the warden casting an ice wall being more a defensive/protective skill.

But I'm not sure how the upcoming changes to frost staves (frost tanks) will affect this ice-related skill line of the warden class. Will they be a viable DDs using an ice magic (including frost staves) or not... Of course the warden class might have some passives which increase their dmg done with ice magic but still... heavy attacking - as a DD - with frost staves will taunt all the mobs :/

Yeah this is something mobs cast often, I'm guessing that will be one of the abilitys.

Also I agree about the ice staff, I don't think it will synergize very well, the idea of an ice DD sounds appealing but I just can't see it being viable with the passives (when fire gives +8% single target damage and lightning giving +8% AoE damage)

I think it would be neat if the move created a LoS barrier. It would be an unique mechanic as a class move. I'm curious how it would work with tanking. Perhaps the wall takes the damage until destroyed, allowing you lay off the block button.

    From the Closer Look article

He uses a depiction of Sleet Storm, one of the new Warden abilities. This ability creates a hailstorm around the caster to deal damage and reduces the impact of incoming attacks for the Warden and his allies

Seems like the Warden may be a tank class rather than a healer. Makes sense tho: the class name, frost magic, frost staves,...

That would be nice for healing competition of course it could end up being tanky and I like the bee swarm attack idea lol.
The bear ultimate doesn't seem too bad but it would be nice while in ultimate state the bear is out for a good amount of time (say 30 secs) and did certain attacks from the hot bar. Like while using abilities from bar 1, you could flip to bar 2 and us abilities that suit/are from the bear, like charge, multi slash, nock down, pelting coat (shield), hibernating heal etc. Come to think of it that would be good dps lol.

I'm expecting a tank/healer hybrid like the templar. It really wouldn't make any sense to not have heals and buffs in the nature tree, even if the frost tree is defensive and tanky.

Skills that have been "confirmed" via the livestream, trailer and articles:

    Bear ultimate
    Direct damage cliff-racer projectile
Single target ice knock back ability
Sleet Storm AOE damage and damage mitigation skill (ult?)
Ice shield (maybe similar to the projectile absorbers frost mages have?)

The only thing we know absolutely nothing about is the healing tree, nature's balance. Hoping to hear more on it soon.

Ice magic will be defensive magic. Rich lambert specifically say so in the vid. Also, nature healing magic and what I would be assuming damage dealing animal companions. I don't think will be pet tanking but since you can heal the bear, I'm assuming it will be much like Clan fear sorcerer pet tanking.

Not really. The thing is we haven't seen any Nature ability yet and we already know the Nature skill line is about healing.

    I think there will be

    a) some kind of Roots spell as a CC
    b) some kind of plant / flower spell for AoE healing
    c) some kind of insect swarm for DoT damage or HoT healing
    d) some kind of a healing breeze

That "ice wall" is sleet storm.

""Sleet Storm, one of the new Warden abilities. This ability creates a hailstorm around the caster to deal damage and reduces the impact of incoming attacks for the Warden and his allies.""

In the video the Warden was using a 2h sword? With ice spells? Makes you wonder if the warden will be a hybrid dps/tank?

But then again in PvP the destruction and restoration staffs with two hand swords is all the rage these days.

The video probably just showing one possibility of weapon combinations....

I wouldn't be a bit surprised if there was a damage morph and a defensive morph.

Hell, I would be even less surprised if they made the Warden come out on top in several roles (DPS and healing, for example) right after release. It doesn't have to be by much, just enough for the min-maxers to say that it's the top dog. After that, they'll gradually reduce the Warden's power to bring it more in line with the other classes.

I doubt the warden will be a top damage dealer. From the looks of it, the class will be heavier on healing and tanking than on damage, more like a templar.
