Meh it's a neat idea, but they do good jobs when you do that. Just look at SWTOR. You able to switch sides under the Agent story line I believe it is, but it doesn't actually change anything. I get why it doesn't, but it would be neat if it did something.0 -

Thank you OP for this wonderful Thread However heroes can mean many things. For example When poor Gollum. BitFrodo Finger and fell down to lava unwillingly. Was it not Gollum. In Lord Of The Rings. Return of the Kings. Who is considered a hero. Since Frodo refused to destroy the One Ring?

✭Huh, Molag Bal, we kicked Bal. Sheogorath now that's a Daedric Prince I would more content with, haven't had enough of him in Shivering Isles. Jyggalag can have his own DLC too, with very little lore (I may be wrong) maybe Zeni can use this opportunity to get really creative (I hope) and bring something fresh and unique.1 -

When we beat Molag Bal, it's quite frankly the power of the Aedra that helps us, that too by consuming one of our companions, I guess since we dont have a soul at that point and in all likely hood a soul is required for the Akatosh to channel strength through us. The Aedra are depicted like forces of nature that require a medium (us) to act through and channel their power to defeat the Daedric Princes.
I've known TES since Oblivion, and quite honestly we are just a by stander as a dragon born is consumed to channel the power of Akatosh to defeat Mehrunes Dagon. A lot people did not like that, thus Skyrim was made with us a dragon born.
BTW I chose the Prophet to be the sacrifice, who did you choose.0 -

I very much dislike the "chosen one" storyline if I am to be honest, so I actually preferred to be the bystander in Oblivion.
I also chose the Prophet on almost all of my characters because I felt like it tied up the story together nicely. It started with him, so I felt fitting that it would end with him. Agreed I felt the same way about the prophet too.

I love McDowell's *actual* voice that we have heard in other games. But unfortunately in this game, we hear his digitally altered voice, to the point that you can't recognize McDowell at all. Maybe they wanted to make it sound unhuman, but a good voice actor like McDowell should have been able to do it by himself.
