Just a little tid bit for those who haven't figured it out yet...
When someone gives you an "Insightful," it's not a good thing. Peeps are using it as a negative, a replacement for the "LOL" button of old.
And when you mark a post "Insightful", you may not be communicating the message you intend.
(Given the toxitcity of the forum community, I'm sure this thread post will garner a few "Insightful"s from the unoriginal trolls around here)

✭✭✭✭✭From the day that the lol button was removed there have been some people trying to convince everyone that insightful is the new lol. It's never really turned out that way, though. The vast majority of the time people use the insightful button the way it was intended, and rarely it's used as a lol substitute. It's not even hard to tell when it's one and when it's the other.

✭My understanding has been that insightful is the replacement for the lol button and so I never give insightfuls to anyone. If I get one (and probably will by posting here lol) I just figure somebody doesnt like what Ive posted, no big deal.. we dont have a disagree button or lol anymore, so insightful is the next closest thing I guess..Edited by Vulsahdaal on January 26, 2017 10:20PM0 -

When I give an Insightful it means precisely, and only, that.
