Genuine question regarding "cheating"

Is rubberbanding on PS4 considered cheating or against the TOS? There is a player in Wailing Prison on PS4 NA who is up to CP 108 (was CP 93 almost 9 hours ago when I logged off last night) who has the character running in circles with the Resto staff held down. So he tags/aggros everything that spawns. He just swtiched to a level 17 toon. Seems that's all the toons do. Just rubberband the two sticks and the trigger and good to go.

Is this against any terms? Can it be reported?

Oh, and hold the salt. Answers only please, expecially from a ZoS rep, if possible. @ZOS_GinaBruno @ZOS_JessicaFolsom ?

True, but pretty good for not having to do anything.

This way you can level up your char while working or doing something else.

Yea, i get that but it's rather stupid imo but each their own.
Guess rushing through games without playing them is the prefered way these days. *shrugs*

Even though it is low tech, it would still be a form of botting, and against the TOS.

I imagine it could be considered automation and could lead to a ban - just because they use a rubber band instead of software doesn't mean it isn't automation.

There are plenty of places you can go on PC and find characters doing something similar - maybe they are using a macro or a bot program, but they could easily just be doing something to hold down a mouse button or key.

Reporting them doesn't seem to do much - so not sure ZOS really cares - report them if you wish, just don't expect anything to happen and you won't be disappointed.

Also these characters could be anyone from a lazy players trying to level up to power leveling services to a account sellers.

It's against TOS to do this even if you are at the controls with your hands because you are not "actively" playing the game.

You agree not to use any hardware or software or any other method of support that is not authorized by ZeniMax or that may in any way influence or advantage Your playing abilities, or influence or advantage Your use of the Services. Third party tools, the use of ‘bots’, “speed hacks”, “deep-link”, “page-scrape”, “robot”, “spider”, algorithm or other programs that copy or monitor any part of the Services (including, but not limited to, the Game(s) and/or forums), software that transmits, manipulates, or distributes (including, but are limited to, “mirroring”) the data stream or any aspect of the Services to another computer, server websites or other publication or distribution media, or software that permits You to use Services without human input are examples of methods not authorized by ZeniMax.
Tl;dr really weigh the fun you have in game vs the business practices you are supporting.

    Thanks, @yodased

Seems like a manual version of botting to me too. But I'm sure there will be no consequence.
