Ideas for skill changes to useless morphs.....that wont break the game

Im just starting this thread to get some ideas out there for this or future PTS as many minds thinking together is better then one. ZOS knows the internal mechanics of there game better then we do but the players are the ones putting countless hours into this game and i feel we know what is working and whats not a bit better.

1. Whirlwind Whirling blades is probably used by 1% of the playerbase. Right now stamina lack AOE in end game trials, thats a fact. while steel tornado is one of the best AOEs in the game, you have to spam cast it to be effective, since we have to spam it we are not casting other damage abilities lowering our overall DPS. Id like to see a poison morph of this that would do initial damage and then add a poison DOT for x amount of seconds. this would make it so you could work this skill into a rotation.

2. Blade cloak another issue stamina has in trials and why magicka is prefered is survivability . this skill does give 20% AOE reduction which is great. the problem with it is the damage output is lackluster. stamina chars dont have much wiggle room on there bars right now, especially stam sorcs. slotting this skill right now is a ahuge dps loss. make this skill do more damage and have a bigger AOE along with the 20% reduction and stam chars gain some huge survivability.

Bow and 2handed trees both of these trees are non existant in PVE other then endless hail and poison injection. The main problem with these trees is that they lack a "spammable" skill. Snipe takes way to long to cast, uppercut also takes to long to cast to be put in a damage rotation that is worth anything. id like to see bows becoming more usefull somehow to give stam an option to range dps in trials. 2h imo is just built for pvp there really isnt anything yu could do to it to help with pve without reworking the entire tree which i dont think is a good idea.

Overall i think mDKs will be in a good spot after this next patch if they find a way to fix dragon blood.

*Dragon blood -
most talked about dk skill out there right now. im assuming they are working on a different approach seeing the new one is just, well not even gonna go there.
my fix for dragon blood would be to give it a heal over time that procs off DOTS and gives us either a magicka return or magicka regen that stacks with major intellect. This would kill 2 birds with one stone. i dont know if having a heal over time off DOTS would be to OP but i just thought it would be a cool idea seeing as DKS are the DOT masters. a raw value heal is not the answer i think it needs to be a HOT. we have burst heals with claw and deep breath granted u have to be up close to use. A HOT would help synergize with these skills better and give you a heal outside of combat.

*Ash Cloud give stamina an AOE by making a poison version of this much like eruption. simple fix that will give stamina some much needed AOE.

Dark talons id like to see choking talons do poison damage along with the enemy damage reduction. this would give stam dks a viable option to bring to a trial with this group utility.

These are just some of the ideas that could make a big impact. Yes all these changes are stamina based but i think thats what needs love in PVE magicka is gonna be fine in next patch. overall stamina needs to bring more to the table now that single traget DPS is close between stam and mag. Ive said this in another post but there are 4 major things that go on in PVE.

Single target damage
AOE damage
utility
survivability

Magicka offers good STD and great AOE damage while bringing group utility and survivability to a trial.

Stamina on the other hand does great STD, low AOE damage, no utility and no survivability.

the whole lower the damage ceiling approach in this patch is the wrong direction. we need to make imo magicka king of AOE and survivablity with a touch of utility and STD and stamina become king of STD and utility with a touch of the others. this would close the gap between the two and make them synergize better in group content.

Lets give some love to the unused morphs in the game so we can be more diverse in our builds.

    While we're at the whole buffing topic

    NB
    Debilitate should deal Disease damage

    Power Extraction should be made a miasma cloud around the NB that deals disease damage, similar to how the old poison mist was for Vampire while granting Major Brutality for the duration.

    yes it does lol.....why would anyone use the other morph of steel tornado? dont get me wrong you CAN use them but you shouldnt because they are bad and way underperforming. stop being a troll.

    In my opinion :

    - your whirlwind idea is good, but I prefer a bleed damage instead of a poison one. After all, DW is more about bleeding, when bow is more the "poison" weapon.

    - blade cloack may have some more damage, but not too much. I don't know how many damage would be good, though.

    - bow is useable, but need some more changes. Hawk eye passive is a great idea, but snipe is not a reliable spammable. Buffing snipe may impact pvp too much (gank build especially), so why not focusing on a scatter shot change ? Increase damage, remove the knockdown, keep draining shot as it is and boost magnum shot even more to be in par with flurry as a spammable. Then, boost arrow spray to be more on par with steel tornado's damage. With some bow-specialized build, it should be enough in pve without impacting pvp too hard.

    - 2H may be useable. I tried a 2H build on my stamplar, because I don't need a spammable. Cleave is not so bad (close to twin slash's damage while being aoe), minor heroism from carve is very good, and reverse slash is a good execute. I was able to do 20-25k dps on bloodspawn alone without too much troubles. Only four points were better with DW : aoe, more raw damage (no more with Homestead), one more set piece and templar's problems. With some boost (passives, and some damage/area of effect boost on cleave), 2H may be a good weapon, at least for templar/NB. Lowering wrecking blow's cast time may give 2H some uses for DK/sorc, also.

    - dragon blood : a hot is a good idea IMO, perhaps a % of the initial heal given as a hot.

    - ash cloud with a poison morph ? Why not.

    - dark talon with a poison morph ? It feel not right IMO, and it's a highly-used tank morph. And these tank love to keep their stamina for block and taunt, for most of them.

    There are a lot other changes who would be good : a damage morph for circle of protection, a reliable grap for one of trapping web's morph, and some classes changes, especially dots (and not too powerful in pvp, in order to increase pve stam dps without hitting pvp too much). The poison mist idea for power extraction is a good idea (I'ld prefer a smoke grenade, an aoe dot who stay at the same place), a tornado morph for liquid lightning, and something for stamplar who won't hurt either magplar or healplar.

    I do not like your idea for whirlwind, it ruins the concept of a sorc, leave poison for the nightblades and dks, it is a good idea but what would be better is an explosion finisher like mages fury or something, or some other finisher sorc morph.

    I would just like to see some more damage options for stamsorc in the class itself then just buffing.

    whirlwind is the dual wield passive, i think your thinking of hurricane. i do think a bleed damage would be better on whirlwind rather then poison now that i think of it.

    i just want to see more diversity in class builds and have viable options for both stam and magic like the nightblade has. id like to see most damage skills develop one magic morph one stam morph.

    magic dks do fire damage
    stam dks do poison
    mag sorcs do lightning
    stam sorcs use air? kinda the direction they are going lol
    mag nightblades use dark magic
    stam nightblades use stealthy/sappy i dunno what u wanna call it
    templars use elements of light.

    so like the example of ash cloud. change the name of it completely, giveing mag dks fire and stam poison etc
