There is an ENDLESS list of products and promises that failed to "meet expectations". Infomercials have created an entire culture around it.

I pay for a sub because I'm satisfied enough to continue doing so. When that satisfaction ends, then so does the sub as well as me logging in.

You are not entitled to your expected level of communications or performance simply because you demand it. You accept the level they give you or you bounce - that's really it.

And as for all the promised services and qualities - have you watched the past 9 -10 election cycles? This world and almost everything in it is built on empty promises.

Not entirely true. There is something called false advertising and companies can get sued for it.

Which has not been done here in ANY way, shape, or form.

    We want an appology.

Speak for yourself. The act of "apologizing" would imply that ZOS made a mistake. They haven't made a mistake. They are creating a videogame the way THEY want to create the videogame. They own this game, not you or I.

You on the other hand should apologize to ZOS for demanding an apology, when they don't have any obligation to answer to you.

Besides, apologies are just words. They are useless without action. I'd rather have action than an apology. Apologies don't prevent my game from crashing.

I don't need an apology. I think that ZoS sometimes make ( what seems to me ) to be really weird and somewhat stupid decisions, but I'm not privy to the inner workings.
However, I do think that their communication is lacking, and rather than get "stock" responses from the staff on the boards, I'd much rather have some honest communication, even if it wasn't in agreement with my opinions or whatnot.

Customer service has been a thorn, but once you get past the standard response team, the people above those are quite decently in the know. In my own experience anyway.
The PvP lag IS sometimes unbearable, though I'd like to think that they're keeping on trying to abate it. I don't expect miracles.

I don't think a lot of people have a "healthy attitude" toward the developers themselves either, regardless of the reverse. Some people here come off as demanding, rude, entitled, and the foot stamping and tantrums that go on is worthy of a daycare.

Still, sometimes I'd like to know that their fanbase means a lot to them, as much as their game means to some of us.

ZOS has terrible customer service and communication. No wonder people steer clear of this game. Its a real shame.

    ZOS has terrible customers too

With the way people demand things, speak to the employees, rant and rave about crap they have no clue about, it's really no wonder they don't come on the forums too much.

Anyway, look at patch notes with every maintenance and update, many of them include changes to both server and client regarding performance in cyrodiil

Every company has their apologists, it seems.

This game has a bad habit of the people in charge not making a game for the customer, and instead making a game for either themselves or shareholders. See the entire tank debaucle and the amnesty that -has- gone between the tank community and the combat designer and all that.

People rant and corner people in the parking lot because they want their voice to be heard, and they see that as the only way to do that. ZOS -has- been geting better, with the new dev notes and such on the PTS. But we can allways go farther.

The horse-squeeze on this forum never fails to amuse.

People in one corner crying "the devs only make your game they want not what we want"

The other corner streams "do the devs even play?"

The bottom line is plans and communication for pvp server performance has been shared, if people can be bothered to look. Even then half the bitching is from people who have seen it but are incapable of understanding the words they are looking at.

Now, I understand the lag issue. I'd love to be able to play in TF and not get frustrated to the point of logging out because of lag. I've done it.

But all these threads popping up acting like you're owed something, demanding communication when the information is already out there?

Folks acting like the devs don't care or want to tank the game? Let me tell you something. The men and women working on it do so for their love of what they do and to support themselves and their families. If they did what half the people on this forum seem to think they do none of us would be playing this game and they'd all be looking for work.

I manage the network that my entire company relies on, and sometimes don't go as well as we'd hope, sometimes fixes aren't as fast as I'd like. You know what happens? People start saying I don't care. That I'm ignoring things. Despite communications being sent or distributed. But you know what? My biggest motivation for getting things done asap is so I don't have to listen to the incessant whining. If for no other reason than that, I can tell you ZOS is doing the best they can.

So, my current wish for the game is for half this forum to get their heads out of their rear ends, put on some Huggies™ brand drawers and have fun playing the game. I've been known to be very critical and mean regarding some of the stuff in this game and we all need to calm down and be the ones that show we care.

I don't really have performance issues with the games so I can't relate.

However, if it were me as a company I would pay more attention to constructive comments both criticism, and suggestions, instead of the angry hate filled rants, which represent most of what is written in the forums. If you think about how you personally would like to be treated in some sort of customer service, other service, or business role when things are not going perfectly, you can find the ability to rationally give your concerns to those in the same situation that can do something about it.
