Health Pool balance?

IIRC Wrobel stated that he and his team want to make health a valuable stat, yet it hasn't been mentioned in any Pts notes, is this change coming in Homestead or U14?

Good memory. They way he made it sound, I could've sworn that they were going to make health more valuable this update.

Nothing good will come if Wrobel tries to balance health.

I can already see the horror show if it were to happen.

He did specifically say that, which i also assumed would mean that they would make more stuff scale off health.

But he does not need to. In PvP you currently want to have 26-28k health to avoid oneshots. So health is no longer a "dead" statpool.

Health is already really good in PvP. More time to react if you have 25k+ (I run 26.8k on Azuras and it works out great)
And there are a few builds based on even more.

Can only imagine the balance nightmare if Wrobel decides to do some random *** he has no clue about...

They can add more bonuses that are directly related to health , for example:
1: each point spend in to health adds 100 armor 64 points is 6400 resistances
2: each point spend in health reduces ultimate costs by 0.3% *overall around 20%)
3: each point in health increase Health Recovery by 0.5%(32%max)
4: each point in health reduces the block cost by 0.35% (22%)
5: Each point in health increase critical resistance by 25 and reduce dmg from monsters by 0.25%
6: Each point in health increase the duration of any selfbuffs by 1%(including shields)

He also said he will change snipe, reduce its initial burst damage and make it something that has more damage with each hit.

It's not that health is a good stat, it's that 25k is the minimum not to get killed with cheese in Cyrodiil. Past that, health is very lackluster compared to Mag or Stam.

Hopefully they find a way to make Health more relevant.

Max health needs nooooo changes thx.

PvE: My tank char sits at 31k max health with 0 attributes in health. 64 points into stam for more blocking. No brainer.

PvP: Something very wrong here, but not really a max health problem, more a power creep problem.

Currently running 21k health (in cyro) on my LA mag sorc, which makes him 100% glass cannon, as any procblade wandering past can 1 shot me with a light attack BUT I don't wish to move any points from mag into health, because (apart from reducing shield size) would mean I'd deal less damage to the 60k+ max health tanks running around....Who do NOT need a buff

0 health attribute will always be a thing unless they unlock damage and primary stat.
In the same way hybrid builds will NEVER be a thing while primary stat is directly tied to damage.

You can bring your health up via enchantments or heavy jewellery, but you'll always be gimped for PVE DPS if you don't max attributes on your primary damage stat.

No matter what buff they give health attribute, damage is always king for builds.

They need to change weapon/spell damage to be the only way to increase your damage.

This will allow people to make hybrid builds with pelinal's etc.
This will allow people to consider 20/20/44 builds.

Then various other buffs (regen, incoming healing, block reduction, whatever) to be tied to attributes and allow people to diversify.

Unless this happens it will NEVER be a good idea to split your attributes.

I do not think he gave any indication of when this would occur. As at least one other mentioned, we have no reason to have faith that Wrobel will do it in a decent manor. My guess is he will be just as lazy about it as the attempt to balance proc sets.

The current system is designed to force all players to pump every attribute point into one of the 3 resource pools, you have to go all-in. You can do hybrid builds and do OK for soloing, but you will never be as tough as a dedicated tank or deal as much damage as a purpose built DPS. You will just be a steaming pile of mediocrity.
