Nightblade Healer

Hi all! Have a some questions about Nightblade class as a "standalone" Healer, but first a short preamble:
I've played a long time (almost 8 years) as only healer in other MMORPG's and i want to continue my "tradition" in such beautiful ESO :) But... for such long time period playing like a Priest i was bored. And im looking at Nightblade with his Blood Magic mechanic :) Is NB can be a "standalone" healer and heal all game content? Im afraid that playing on end game content most players will take only Templars as Healer and nobody else.

P.S. English is not my native language, sorry me :(

    Everything except vet trials, fine.

Vet trials you probably need to go templar though.

Thank you for answer. One more question, wich type of mana regen use NB? I have a templar 33 lvl and im using a staff all non healing time.

P.S. Sorry for dumb question, but will i be able to set my role to Healer in dungeon finder?

Don't really understand the first paragraph of questions but yes, you can set your role as healer.

For the dungeon finder, in normal mode dungeons? Absolutely.

In terms of mana regen, it sounds like you're doing the most important thing already - always heavy attack if you don't need to cast a heal right that second.

Other things that help: run Siphoning Attacks. That will let you gain more magicka back and running out of magicka is the big limit that most new healers face.

The other big thing that will help is to prioritize your healing correctly and avoid over-healing. If you're party is topped up, or near full, don't cast on them. I see new and inexperienced healers hammering away on their powers with a jackhammer when everyone's in fine shape. Then, ten seconds later, when everyone is beat to hell, the healers out of mana and can't do anything about it.

Stack Rapid Regen and Funnel Health on the party and they should be fine as long as they're about 70% or so. Below that it's time to consider how you're going to catch them if they fall.

Need a burst heal? Healing Ward. Seriously it's amazingly powerful. You do not need Breath of Life (the templar heal), Healing Ward will cover all of your burst healing needs and then some. (Templars are the best healers for reasons that have nothing to do BoL)

Need to heal a bunch of people at once? From a continuous stream of "chip damage" (meaning the damage isn't instantly fatal but it is relentlessly wearing them down) - use Sap Essence, kill the enemy, heal your team, what's not to love.

On the other hand if the damage is arriving in rapidly lethal doses to everyone, get the fools to stand together and spam Healing Springs like there's no tomorrow - because for anyone who's outside the circle, there won't be. By hitting everyone at once you'll keep the cost low and by firing it as fast as you can you'll keep their health high.

Ideally you go into a Healing Springs phase with both Rapid Regen and Funnel health already ticking away on everyone. With that much healing over time rolling there's very little content in the game that can outdamage you.

Don't worry though, your party members will dress in tissue paper and dance in puddles of red death trying to make sure that the damage exceeds your ability to heal them. In those cases you have to practice the most powerful mana regen option available - let the fools die. You can heal poison damage, you can heal fire damage, but you can't heal stupid, so let them die and keep the ones alive who have at least 2 functioning brain cells to rub together.

Nightblades make great healers for dungeons. Since they can heal and dish out damage with literally some of the same healing skills as well, Nightblade healers can easily carry a bad group or speed up a good one.

For Veteran Trials, Templars are the most popular healers due to their additional resource management skills. That said, diversity also helps a group, and there are typically two healers per 12-man trial team, so it is still possible to find a good group interested in taking a non-Templar healer for one of their two healer slots.
Why be normal when you can be better?

    Lady Kalila, Stamina Templar DPS
    Stands-in-Danger, Nightblade Saptank

Thanx a lot guys for explaining and helping me with this. One more question - wich race would you recommend? Will i lost a lot as NB if i choose a non Bosmer or Khajiit race? I mean their stealth radius decreasing bonus.

Lose a lot? No. Lose some minor amount? Yeah, a little.

With a Bosmer or a Khajiit you're looking at a lower maximum Magicka than with a Breton or Altmer, and less cost reduction/magicka regen.

That said, neither of those two facts will be too hard to overcome. Good resource management and timely reactions count for roughly 10,000x more than the racial stats in terms of overall performance.

The stealth radius detection is largely useless as a healer, but the nice thing about going with a healer is that Magicka Healer is a few skills swapped in and out, and maybe a few bits of gear away from Magicka DPS, which can be great when soloing, and soloing is where being stealthy can sometimes be very handy (other times you just obliterate your enemies and don't waste time sneaking).
