Should The Attributes Points Cap Be Raised?

The trade off in having the classic elder scroll game flexibility to allocate attribute points to damage stats as well as non damage stats is that we end up with the builds that have no points in health, as well as the 'bad' damage builds with most points into health.

In most games of this type (MMO), health is controlled by the developers and constrained by gear / level, the same with stats which drive damage, with very little if any ability for players to exchange HP stats for damage stats.

This makes balancing player damage much easier as well as damage done to players - and while one could argue it is more simplistic, is it really considering every end-game guide for ESO basically says 'put all points into magika / stamina'.

I wonder what estimates they used on how players would allocate stats when designing and tuning the game...whatever it was, I bet it wasn't 100% damage.

Anyways no we don't need even more attributes to allow players to stack even more damage - though we could use soft caps / DR on damage stats to push players to create more balanced builds.

NO, Attributes Points are fine the way it is. (Leave feedback why)
The proper word for 'nerf' is 'balance' more or less.
So trying to compensate for a nerf is largely counter-intuitive. Development don't make changes to make things worse, they do so to make things better, regardless of player perception that is saturated in self-interest.
If you can be anything, be kind.

It sounds like most people are worried about the Attributes Points being abused, though we have found that the more points you put into an attribute the less effective it is, I.e. dump everything into stamina, after about 10 points it seems like the actual bonuses starts to drop from 100% per point down to maybe 25% per point.
Before you except the change you can see on the right how many more points go into the buff, such as maximum Stamina in this example. You add a point into stamina it may say you get 289 extra in maximum Stamina.... After adding another point you notice it only gave you 260 extra points. The more points you add in one attribute the less over all actual buff it will give you in the end.

We have found that balancing your AP across the three actually gives you more buffs then what you get for dumping it in just one. So the developers do have a built in governing system on it to keep from abuseing the AP.

Perhaps the Developers should just take the AP system out if it's causing to much imbalance in PvP, and for each level you automatically raise all your HP, Stam, & magica At equal level.

    Thanks everyone for your feedback.

with the champion points raising to 600 in the update, you will get 13 more points into each constellation and your stats will raise with it

No. Without softcaps, attribute distribution is anyways reduced to "stack into damage" (i.e. stamina or magicka). Adding more will not increase build diversity.

Personally we feel that our tank classes such as Dragon Knight, or Templar are severely Gimped, We usually have to put Attributes Points in all three, Health, Magica, and Stamina to be an efficient Tank you have to draw from several different skill tree lines, most if which will be using both magica and stamina,... so a lot of time you are scrambling to recover these pools to hold Aggravation and try to keep yourself a live.
You gave to choose Health as your main pool attributes, following eather Stamina, or magica depending on class, and personal choice of preferred will tree.
Again this leaves you with a hard decision of lacking in one of the pools, and limiting your performance on the battlefield.

It would be nice to have extra Attributes Points to spread out between the three and maximizing your potential to survive, and have some offence skills that you can use across tree lines between magica and stamina.

This also goes for the magical classes, as to survive in any class if you do not have a minimum of 18-20k in health by level 50 your going to die, .....alot.

Thanks for your time and consideration...

I got a 64 points in stam on my tank normally have no problem with sustain. I got potions for my stam magicka regens while I am blocking. for health I have vigor and dragon blood,. You can also just heavy attack for stam back when you run out (even in some vet trials) if you are doing trials you also have support shards and bubbles for magicka and stam and heals for your health. if you are in a good group the only thing you need to is buff yourself, get synergies, keep blocking, use ulti when needed (Warhorn in trials) and taunt the boss.

on my magsorc I have 16-17k with julianos or bsw and 18k with tbs which is enough I mean I have shields when I know there is a heavy hit coming. and you cant use as excuse that your not a sorc and have no shields use magica harness (Better then hardened ward imo)

Glad that PvE get nerfed. It'll be like 1 year ago one. Not crazy DPS and so on, it's not even anymore a challenge at the moment. So no, it's not needed an attribute cap raise.

No - if they are trying to "lower the ceiling", why not make level 50, 50 attribute points again, rather than 64. It effects us all equally.
