Undaunted Chest

Yo

So I waited until I was Champion level 160 before using any of my undaunted keys to get top shelf gear. I have used about 10 of my keys and all I can seem to get from the chests is single shoulder sets. What's that all about? Am I missing something? I have only tried opening from the enclave in Grahtwood so far, btw.

I'm not sure what you mean, you're only supposed to get a shoulder piece from each key.

You're only get the shoulder pieces of monster sets in the chests.
To get the helmets you have to do the right dungeons on veteran.

Let's say you want Valkyn Skoria helmet of Infernal Guardian Helmet, you have to visit Veteran City of Ash 1 and 2.

Excuse my naivety, I am reasonably new to the game, but this helps

When you say to get the monster helm Valkyn Skoria you have to visit CoA 1 AND 2 to does this mean that you would have to wait till CoA is on pledge, then do both of them that day? then use the key at an Undaunted chest?

No you get the helmet from killing the boss. You can do this anytime not just in pledge days. The keys will only give shoulders.

Take a look here, as already said shoulders can only be obtained from the chests with keys (although there's 3 chests and they drop specific sets so make sure you're opening the right one for the monster piece you want)

The helmets drop from the final boss of the veteran dungeon, some are easier than others but this site will tell you which dungeon you need to do for which piece, hope it helps

Also, the shoulder that pairs with helmet X will only come from one of the three chests.

That is, the shoulder for Skoria will only come from the Glirion chest. Velidreth shoulders will only come from the center chest, and so on.

There is something that I was not able to find though.

Where can I get a list of what shoulders drop in each chest?
There are three chests, and each drops certain things.

Does anyone have a list of what each chest could contain?
Like for example, say I wanted tremorscale shoulders, which of the three chests should I open?

thanks that gives good detailed info.

Funny how some chests have a larger loot table while the middle chest has a small loot table. That makes it harder to get certain shoulders than others with a larger chance of getting the wrong item.

Yup that's true.
However keep in mind, that the middle chest contains only DLC shoulders (Imperial City Prison, Whitegold Tower and Argonian Dungeon Pack). As soon as we get new DLC's that add new Monster Sets, they also will come in the middle chest.
