Maintenance for the week of October 5:
• [COMPLETE] ESO Store and Account System for maintenance – October 8, 8:00AM EDT (12:00 UTC) – 12:00PM EDT (16:00 UTC)
The most recent super-special-mega-deluxe-definitely-not-a-reskinned-horse-limited-edition elk mount was 4.5k crowns. If you consider the fact that the crown store exclusive houses (Craglorn batcave and Volcano Island Retreat) are the equivalent of 3.7million gold mansions, then they'll definitely be more expensive than the elk. If you also buy them furbished, I'd wager it'd be around 10k crowns, possibly even more, depending on how much they decide they are worth. They definitely won't be cheaper than the elk mount. Homestead is the kind of meta-content update where I'm sure ZOS expects to make a fortune milking whales. Hopefully they'll put that money to good use and not gift all their employees with gold-rimmed jet skis.

"Madness is a bitter mercy, perhaps, but a mercy nonetheless."
I was thinking of starting a thread just like this, my thinking was if I wanted to buy a house that costs more then I have in gold then it would be nice to know if I have enough crowns or need to get more, which will cost me money, which I will need to budget for (I am living on my retirement at the moment) depending on the prices.
Of all the things I have lost, I miss my mind the most...
Since the elk already cost 4,5k crowns, I'd roughly say around 10k plus. Especially since a lot of people already stated how nice they are. It's another goldmine for ZOS. Many spent alot crowns on the crates which means they also have to buy some crowns.
10k sounds a bit insane to buy a cosemetic home for more than the price of the game and all dlcs together
Considering that some of the nicest 'manor' homes are going to cost over 300K in gold, I would say costing 10K+ in Crowns would not be out of the question... especially with 4500 Crown mounts. They want to LIMIT the number of players with the nicest homes so they're pricing them out of reach for most players- this will undoubtedly include Crown prices.
