At this price I expected more walls

I'm a bit disappointed with the Small Homes.
The first time I previewed one I thought I'd made a mistake and I was looking at one of the apartments because it was just one small square room. It was only when I switched immediately from that to one of the apartments that I could see the slight difference in size.
Thing is I'm actually ok with the size of the small homes, but I'm disappointed that they're only 1 room. It makes the jump in price between them and the apartments seem pointless, which puts me off buying one (and this is the category I thought I was most likely to go for). Even if it was the same size but split into two rooms, or with a small entrance hall or something added it would be an improvement. As it is the only ones I'd consider are the ones with a courtyard (none of which are in places my characters want to live), otherwise it seems pointless to spend the extra money.
