ZOS convinced Sony to drop the PlayStation membership requirement to play ESO so players are not forced to pay twice as much as PC to get ESO+. That might explain it.
"A person is smart. People are dumb, panicky, dangerous animals and you know it."
It used to be more expensive for me when I played on PS4. I don't know the reason(s) why. Oh, and I still needed to pay for a Playstation Plus membership on top of that.

On the flip side of the coin, have you seen the discrepancy in price between the crowns on each console? On PC and PS4, 5500cr cost £24 when retailing for full price, on the Xbox they cost around £32. That's the real shocker.
When I moved across to the PS4 from the X1 I thought they had permanently reduced the price of crowns when I got back into the game, only I found out crowns were still priced as they have always been priced.
If it wasn't enough that you have to pay a monthly fee to play games online (it's 2017 ffs), you also have to pay more to sub to individual games? That's criminal.
On PC it costs me £8.99 if I buy 30 days, or £7.99 per month if I buy 90 days (total price £23.97) or £6.99 per month if I buy 180 days (£41.94 in total).

First off, PS4 players can play any FREE online game online without a PS+. ESO is a B2P game therefore you have to have PS+ to play.
Second, all PSN Store transactions results in a small profit for PS, this cost is typically not absorb by the selling company, but the customer. It is why on average items found on both PS Store and PC tend to be more expensive on PS Store.
Microsoft XBox is very similar to the setup that PS has setup. Sad but it is reality.
