Does it mean that Master and Maelstrom weapons will give a special effect for these "new" first and second tier skills, or they remain in their former version, but now there won't be logical which skills will they buff?

It destroys some order.
But nothing changes, master weapons still buff destructive touch and cleave etc. and the next master weapons will still buff force shock, uppercut etc.

There was never a pattern. Arrow barrage and crit rush are not the first abilities atm

There was - Master weapons buffed the first ability in each weapon line, Maelstrom the second.

Yes there was.

1st ability --> Master weapons
2nd ability --> Maelstrom Weapons

Master Weapons buff Poison Injection, Cleave, Puncture, Destructive Touch, Twin Slashes

Maelstrom Weapons buff Volley, Critical Rush, Low Slash, Wall of Elements, Flurry

The pattern has now been ruined thanks to this random, unnecessary change to the ordering of these skills.
