Need Some Help with VMA Build [Stam Sorc]

Okay, so I have Hundings Rage all Divine and I have TBS all divine. Which will perform better? I've to this day have been using Hundings Rage + Viper and just two sharpened weapons on front bar with Bow on back.

I was thinking I'd change that to 5 TBS, 3 Agility, 2 Kr'agh (Head infused, shoulders Divine), 1 Precise Dagger and 1 Sharpened Sword. Thoughts?

I have over 500-600 runs in Maelstrom and leaderboard weekly.

I recommend you look at my videos in my signature it's helped a huge amount of people complete maelstrom which I'm proud of.

To answer your question for the mean time though, neither set is optimum for maelstrom.

You need NMG, night mothers gaze + Viper and Khrags or Velidreth monster set.

Do not go Agility or TBS.

Because stam sorc doesn't have major fracture you need to run nightmothers 3 piece body 2 piece daggers

Thanks going to try this out. Made it to stage 5 using Hundings, but I saw a lot of people saying TBS + Vicious Ophidian was the way to go. I don't have VO so was going to try TBS and Viper. But, I'll give your build a try first.

When I switched from TBS to NMG it seemed like things got easier (relative statement). For reasons that now escape me, I have Red Mountain as my second 5-piece. I'm sure that's not ideal.

One thing I would note, and it's the reason I mentioned the Red Mountain, is that it is easy to become overly fixated on your gear to the detriment of achieving the goal of a first clear. Sure gear matters, but beyond a certain level the differences across gear setups seem relatively marginal. Learning the fights is much more important.

Towards that end, you would be well served following @Lukums1 advice. With a couple/few notable exceptions, it seems like most vMSA advice is geared towards getting (fast) clears generally, rather than getting FIRST clears. @Lukums1's advice is specifically tailored to first clears.

Yes all the advice I give is first clears, if people want score runs and flawless runs I can give knowledge towards that also. But generally on forums I keep it simple %@$@! approach lol.

Haha, dude the set you recommended is great. Already a lot further than I was before. I'm of course still dying because I have to learn the levels but thanks a lot. Also the video helped a lot.

I made it through most things with relative ease but that last boss in VMA still throws me for loops on the stamsorc. Been running the TBS+Vipers+Kraghs and up to the last boss it did fine for me, gonna try this NMG build though.

Haha, dude the set you recommended is great. Already a lot further than I was before. I'm of course still dying because I have to learn the levels but thanks a lot. Also the video helped a lot.

You're welcome. The video I posted is great for first timers as well as my flawless guide when you're ready for that.

In any case NMG is 100% the way to go. FOR SORC *doesn't apply for other classes* with major fracture!

The hardest part for me was getting to the top consistently. Grabbing the defensive sigil at the beginning makes that part a breeze.

I don't know any trials groups so VO is not an option. So I just went five viper with jewelry and two sharp daggers, five divine red mountain on body. Two validreth. Thief mundus. Duel wield bow. I did not have a bad time. Make sure you get going as these will be nerfed soon.

I really need to get Velidreth. CoS is pretty hard to get a good PUG for.

You can find groups for normal trials in zone chat. VO does drop from normal, but the drops are blue.

Blue VO is perfectly fine to run no issues there at all.

The difference is so small it's crazy.

Isn't the drop rate lower for VO in normal trials?

The drop rate is very very bad.

However you can smash trials out on normal with people 200 + cp which makes the ability to run with anyone and more frequently much easier.

It's a double edge sword, what I normally do is take a person in which needs the entire set with a pre-made group through vet hel ra and just get them the entire set with 1 run.

What I would do if I were you, is start investigating who you could run with vet wise instead of smashing your head against a wall in normal.

HOWEVER.

If you still need divines VO / Two Fanged Snake you may as well SMASH out normals over and over and see what you get.
There is always changes for VO weapons and Two Fanged Snake weapons so you may as well.
