Purple necklace from a single kill on a werewolf?

I was beyond surprised when after killing a werewolf in Malabal Tor over the weekend I got a purple quality necklace off him. I did not think that was possible. Am I wrong?

    It is possible. Mobs can drop set items from that zone this can include purple quality items. I have had a few purple rings drop from mobs in delves and overland.

    That's RNG. The chance is very small, but it's there, so yeah, it can happen.

    Well, if you want to get banned then yeah ...

    I'm pretty sure ZOS never actually fixed the exploit that comes with it.
    They banned a few people for exploiting though.
