Considering the best house in Skyrim (Proudspire Manor in my opinion) cost 25 000 gold. And the smallest one (Breezehome) cost 5 000 gold. I think we will see something like that when housing is released. Though considering all features housing has the price might be higher. I dont think Zenimax will put some outrages prices on a house, they know we will just complain a lot if they do. However if they do then perhaps its to encourage saving up and being careful with your gold. But Im at least hopeful the prices of different houses will be similar to how it was in Skyrim.

I doubt it will cost millions. I know some people are that rich but the majority of the players are not.

Hmmmm very intersting...i had mods for free houses in skyrim. Lets add in free settlements in fallout 4, sprinkle in what a medium house costs in the sims, factor in inflation and ratio of septims to simoleons to gold, land to air ratio...id say its safe to say a medium house will cost around 12,000 simoleons...or 150k septims, 575 caps

Top houses will be below 5 millions gold I bet, such price requires from player some hard work to get such amount of gold. Homestead idea is not make houses so rare that only top traders will be able to buy them but whole thing is everyone should be able to own a house. Otherwise it would not bring any fun to ESO is only let say 25% of players could buy houses.

I get 9000 crowns when my sub renews..I still have 5000 left over...Which means 14000 crowns to use they gaVe given me as a thanks for subbing 6 months at a time.

    Subbing had its advantages :)

i sub to and have plenty of crowns it does not mean i support this business choice witch forces people to hand over money for anything decent

Ok first off, which and witch are 2 different things, as well as threw and through. Sorry it was bugging me.

What you perceive as bad business choices are not what others percieve. And since we have no idea on the cost yet, you are jumping the gun a bit. Why not wait and see what the actual pricing is going to be before you assume it will be astonomical.

Alright perhaps I need to clarify. When I mentioned Skyrim I only mentioned it because it is an Elder Scrolls game. And my point with mentioning it was that because Skyrim is an Elder Scrolls game, perhaps they will use housing prices there as a basis. However I suppose that is unlikely considering housing in ESO will have many more features Skyrim doesn't have. Features unmodded/vanilla Skyrim doesn't have. I know with mods housing in Skyrim gets a lot more features. Though we can speculate all we want, we wont know until housing is released. No harm in being optimistic and hoping an average house wont cost millions.

I really doubt that small and middle size houses will be very expensive. I believe furniture will be the most of gold sink.

SWTOR (from where idea of crown chests were taken) has very similar idea of housing and hooks in the house (at least as I understood ESO explanations). You can have very cheap very simple furniture, but if you want reasonable craft/utility setup which looks nice it cost you 3-10 times more than house itself. Some exclusive decoration alone could be more than that, and exclusive to their analog of crown store.

It looks reasonable to me, and I think it will be more or less similar in ESO.
