Sun set

Am testing sets for my Dunmer magblade (380 CP / Pve focus)...

Have farmed jewelry and enough pieces of both Mothers Sorrow and Sun set, I was wondering whether anyone uses them to effect on a magblade. Being on console I can't parse, but I feel like Sun is quite effective. The upside to MS is that I can be more cold or shock focused, which has its situational advantages.

Just curious what people have/are doing with these two. Thanks.

I used to use Silks of the Sun on my mDK- but then someone pointed out that Burning Spellweave is much, much better. After giving it a try, I have to admit... the up time and damage of BSW is much better than SotS.

Plus, BSW would increase all of your damage from ALL your magicka abilities (even more beneficial since you're a Magblade)... not just fire based attacks.

Want to enjoy the game more? Try both PvP (crybabies) and PvE (carebears). You'll get a better perspective on everyone's opinion.

I'd like to build on this.

It's important to note that Major Sorcery does not increase the spell damage given by Silks of the Sun, whereas it does boost the spell damage given by Burning Spellweave. Not to mention the Silks of the Sun has increased health as its 2-piece bonus, whereas Burning Spellweave has Magicka, giving Burning Spellweave an even bigger advantage. As such, Burning Spellweave is far superior to Silks of the Sun.

The only real advantage of Silks of the Sun on a PvE DPS setup is the fact that it's Bind on Equip.

Grab a mNB with Cloak and Mirage. Make sure you have 75 points in the thief mundus.

I'm just going to leave this here:

Happy farming. It took me two days.
