Are the airbag chest armors ever going to be fixed?

Especially on females they look like a tyre is stuffed underneath the chest armor. Even the black hand robe still looks bloated, and body shape just looks irregular like on a huge orc male for example with the chest curving out like there is something lumpy attached to the sternum, pigeon chesty sort of.

I just felt the need to comment in this thread because I have spent a good 10 minutes laughing over the implied idea that ZOS actually fixes things.

Agree with all your post, and yes the Black Hand Robe is especially horrible...something desperately needs to be done about that. Looks like someone dumped a full potato sack down the front of my dress.

Yeah, there's a thread somewhere with like 30+ pages of discussion, even finally got a little attention from the community liaisons stating some ambiguous crap like "Yeah, we'd like to see that fixed too" or "we'll work on that soon" or something.
That was almost a year ago, the thread is buried and probably locked, and I'm pessimisticly certain they're probably just hoping everyone will just forget about it, because since then I'm pretty sure they've continued making costumes and motifs with the same lazy, half-a**ed method that created the problem in the first place which is just making ONE model, the male one, and stretch/skewing it to make the female version.

But hey, we've got gambling crates and 30$ mounts so, make sure you support them so they can keep delivering this AAA title.

No worries fixes coming soon. Going to need some more costumes to pad the gamble boxes with.

I wouldn't hold your breath, honestly. They acknowledged this issue and said they'd fix it after the Imperial City DLC was released. That was quite a while ago now. It's just clearly not a high enough priority

Here we go again. Most of the armor that doesnt conform to the bewbies are just fine, since thats what practical plate armor is supposed to be.

I'm not sure if this is exactly what you are talking about, but there's a thread that brought this up. It was started back in April and spanned thirty something pages. Looking at the pictures, it is absolutely reasonable to want this issue to be fixed; it looks wrong. Even when talking about plate armor, that kind of shape is still incorrect, as the armor would be giving a more flat/masculine look, not a bloated barrel one. Either way, on light armor and robes, this kind of stuff just doesn't make sense.

Feel free to check it out: IMPORTANT UPDATE! ZOS PLEASE reconsider your decision to no longer make FEMALE Light armor!

Unfortunately, after saying that this was unintended and that they would look at it, nothing has apparently changed.

This is what heavy armor should look like on women (notice the lack of bloating or barrel chest):

Don't know what anyone else is complaining about, but my beef is with the costumes that are supposed to be made of cloth, basically looking like they were designed for a man instead of me.

You mean ones like the Black Hand Robe and such? Thats heavy cloth, multiple layers. Sure there are some that could use more work, but not everything can be spandex.

You fail to understand women then.

We like things that flatter the figure, and as for what it's made of, ultimately it's made of pixels paid for with real dollars...and it damn well better look good or I'll complain loudly and forever till they get sick of hearing it.

Lol no i understand women quite well, what i dont understand is how people cant deal with what theyre given, especially when that something is pretty indicative of the level of quality for clothing tailored in a medieval time period. Besides, your real dollars bought you access to the game, not just the clothing within it. For the clothes that came with the base game, you arent entitled to demand a change just because they dont flatter the female form. And those that are crown purchased, well, that was your decision to pay.

No, there is nothing players need to "deal with". ZOS undercut quality badly. They produced crap. Read the original thread first.

Only Trinimac was fixed. I haven't seen anything to happen to alliance styles, Abah Watch nor Thieves Guild. I think it's best to avoid them still.

    i dont understand

If you're not an actual female maybe it doesn't matter to you, but it matters to probably most of us.

Maybe time for you to stop arguing with people who care, if you don't care.

Please go brush up on what ZOS has said, because youre looking kind of foolish right now. ZOS has admitted that the armors are not correct and that they should conform more to the bodies than they are currently on female characters.

My opinion aligns with Sanguine on this. I'd love to see the ginormous bulge fixed, but I wouldn't want it changed to outline breasts. I'm so sick of that. I really am. Unlike 99~ per cent of men (it seems), I'm actually familiar with female anatomy. As such, I realise that following the shape of breasts with any kind of heavy armour is a really bad idea. Sternum Busters, my partner and I call them. More likely to do egregious harm than to actually protect. They're just as bad as boob windows.

So, yes. I'd like to see more reasonable torso armours, in line with what armour would actually look like, without the sexual objectification from a basis of having no idea what a woman actually looks like. (I can't get away from the idea that every 3D character artist at Blizzard has never actually seen a woman. That they exist in a colony that's an absolute sausage-fest, with absolutely no exceptions allowed.)

I'd also love to see heavy armour fixed so that it doesn't shrink limbs/musculature, too.

It's unlikely, though, isn't it? At this point, thanks to gross mismanagement, ZOS are strapped for cash. It's a shame, because ESO was so promising. So promising, but still so ready to follow the old Path of Destruction that the likes of Wildstar, Champions Online, and many others merrily skipped down.
