[POLL] Do you chase ? If so, why?

So, it has occurred to me that these past few weeks, whenever I've pvp'ed, I ended up being chased to the end of the world by enemy groups or "solo" players banding up together to pursue those 20 fleeing AP. It got up to the point where I wished death and horrible torture upon them. I mean try getting repeatedly chased from Nikel or Sejanus all the way to the Lake Rumare. Or from Roebeck to Brindle. Or from Bleakers to Dragonclaw. That's the lengths which I have to sprint across every single time, holding on for dear life.
Since it happens throughout the factions, I'm curious as to know what motivates people to do it ?

So, do you chase? If so, why? Whom do you chase? At what point do you give up? Do you even give up?

I will get chased by groups of 15 or more reds all the time when running solo. Rarely by blues. That's na PC. Not sure why, it happens that way. One theory I have is due to the geo-physical location of pringles processing, distribution, and storage operation run by the pact.

Clearly a bad, biased poll. I chase if I know I can catch them quickly. I'm not going to spend 5 minutes chasing somebody around the map but if it is clear they are slow and I'll catch them with little effort then I will pursue. But ain't nobody got time to run down one of those streaking sorcs.

No, but I used to love it when mobs of yellow and red would chase me. I did everything in my power to run across the map in a mad Forrest Gump-like dash. And then I'd willingly die in the middle of nowhere so I could bloodport quickly.

Meanwhile, whilst the herd was chasing me, the other 10+ stealthed people I was with have broken down the front door and most likely taken the courtyard, killing the other remaining defenders as the group split apart to stupidly give me chase.

for me it depends how close we are to the "action"...if you were just sniping folks outside a keep/outpost - yeah, you're gonna get chased...

if i run across someone outside of the emp ring - you do your thing, I'll do mine...

Depends on the situation. If we just almost wiped a bigger group and need some time to repair the keep, I'll chase everyone who tries to get away and place a camp. If someone is just trolling or has already 10 players chasing him, I'll usually leave them unless there are private reasons to chase that player.

I guess chasing is a bit in everybody's blood (we were hunters and gatherers some millenia ago), but in your case the answer is quite simple: You're playing on Trueflame, EU and AD is so overdominant in that campaign that EP and DC often prefer fighting each other instead instead of facing the dominion. So seeing one solo AD player gives many blues and reds the feeling that this might be their ONE CHANCE on victory (presuming the solo AD is not surrounded by 5 NBs in hide or racing back to his zerg) and who would want to give up this one millisecond of happiness, even if it only delivers 20 AP?

But if I feel you're gonna just try and gank me again I will try and kill you. If you're a lower level (significantly) and hold block up, I'll let you be (unless I was just killed by your alliance and unhappy, then I'll still kill you)

I love, love, love the runners but actually no one really runs, I'm always running and I hope that at least 1or 2 are following me so I can feast.

I chase the ones I know can get away because they're usually a l33tsauce Xv1er who will turn around and fight me at some point. Usually results in some fun 1v1s.

Well quite frankly, a strategic retreat can be more effective than an assault. Use their bloodlust against them! I would like to see a VD Proxy turn around and blow the 10 up lol

You could solve your problem by standing your ground and fighting with honor instead of turning and running from a fight. Running away and then complaining that people chase you is "pathetic and a waste of time".

I chase gankers. I hate it when im running and 1-4 people jump me from stealth. Then when they can't instakill me and some help arrives they run. I willl chase you as long as it takes. You will burn. Cowards

I actually had that happen to me earlier. Even Lich couldn't save me when some mounted on horseback and put up speed buffs. And one of them had the audacity to whisper me "When I get chased, I outplay them".
So we chased him with three people from the dolmen near Nikel as a social experiment. He didn't last 100 meters.

I don't fight people I will lose, I am 175 cp with guild store bought gear.

I am only here for objectives. If you run I am supprised that I did enough damage to scare you. Then I am going to expect you to heal up and return so I run.

Being able to run forever is basically the best thing about Bosmers.

Not only do I don't chase, I tend to try and avoid ganging up on clearly outnumbered solo/small groups if I can help it. Just no point in griefing them in an already zergerier then ever meta and I try to uphold some code of sportsmanship.


Exceptions of course to scum and people whom gotten themselves on my ****-list.

If I'm solo and I see a player I despise I'll chase them all the way from AD gates to Dragonclaw if I have to.

If I'm with group I won't chase anything other than the massive group of AP that's always running from us.
