Right now we have the whole server squashed into one spot all trying to grab the XP buff, every two hours for the next couple weeks, which means tons of lag for those people already getting lagged out. Some people can't even log into game right now with all the stress on server.

ZOS want to help us out here and make this XP buff a trophy item? Summon a keg just like Breda's one.

I suspect the thinking is that the player is always back at Breda, anyway. I am ok with the one location, as a game design point, and use the Brew every time I am there, needed or not. Why say no to free beer!

But, the timer counts down while the character is offline, or is removed when the character leaves the game (not sure which), so the Beer Tent is my new home.

That doesn't make sense though - the events can't be repeated every two hours so there'd be no reason for them to assume players would naturally want to visit Breda every two hours anyway as we can't repeat the events.

So only reason for them to not make it a memento like they have with all other xp events is to sell a Keg Memento to us later down the line.

Not only do they make it all in one place for us to lag or crash the way there and out. They made it where the effect goes away from anything so you have to go back ever couple of minutes.

Yeah it's not good design, and making the XP keg a memento would help quite a lot with both the lag and our opinion of this event (it would feel more convenient to us so we'd be more positive about the event).

Another thought, and it may be too late for this festival to strip gears mid-stream, but for future similar celebrations...if they can't/won't make the buff persist for the length of the festival, and can't/won't give us self-contained momentos to carry around like before, then they must have multiple locations to re-up the buff. For instance, in this festival, it could have really added to the celebration, if they had added a keg at one strategic inn within each zone, or at the very minimum 1 in within each alliance. these would then become focal points with less latency, and give a feel of a complete tamrielic participation, that no matter where you were, you can join in, have a drink & hit somebody with a mudball in Vulkhel Guard, maybe get tuned up at the keg in Mournhold, or even strip down to your bath towel in Riften...

The Witchmother's Brew memento isn't bugged, why would Breda's Keg memento be bugged?

Also it would reduce the lag and stress on the server if we could summon the buff item to us rather than have to go to exact same spot on server every two hours. That sounds like less bugs to me.

Just remember when they make this a cash shop item it was because you and people like you didn't speak up now.

I'll be buying it regardless, money is not a problem for me.

We're asking for the keg to be a momento just like all other events.

What does any of this have to do with a cash shop?
There's nothing to buy, it's a seasonal quest interaction.

What on earth makes you think they're planning on selling a keg memento "later down the line"? It's a buff that only works during this festival; it would have no purchase appeal to anyone after the event is over (i.e. "later down the line"). And even if they made it purchasable DURING the event, most (if not all) people would just take a wayshrine back to Breda and get the buff for free...
