Sure it takes a few times sometimes cause of the RNG with the Statue blue thing, if it goes on the healer at the end it SUCKS and will most likely cause a wipe if in the wrong situation, but it can still be survived with enough self sustain from the group. Just try again and keep at it. Get a DK tank and chain in all the adds and interrupt the stone shapers and burn the totems. And TP healer with Shards and Elemental Drain and Repentance for sustain and you will do great.
It's the toughest 4-man group dungeon fight in the game atm. Keep trying - you'll beat it eventually
So, a few other members of one of my guilds and I have formed a group to tackle the achievements for Shadow of the Hist skins. One of these is to do hard mode on both dungeons and we are really struggling with Ruins of Mazzatun. This is a solid group of experienced players on toons they know well, all max CP and geared up with good solid gear as well as rotations. We breeze through the rest of the dungeon and have no issue on regular vet (non-hard) mode of Tree-Minder but that hard mode just brings us too much at once...Stone Shapers, shadow bosses, totems, statues, OP archers, you get the idea. I am just wondering if we are really missing something. We have even burned through the shadow bosses just to have a totem land next to us while somebody else just got statues and we get sucked dry of everything by the totem so we die die and die some more.
I am wondering if anybody has done this at full cp160 (as we know plenty of people who scaled it down before 1T to get the skins) and maybe even done it recently as there is no telling if something changed, even unintentionally with various updates that have come out. I know it is almost unthinkable but sometimes it happens. If you have done this at cp160 and know the pain I am talking about and have some words of wisdom or can point out something we might just be missing it would be ever so appreciated.
Thanks!
I would recommend having the tank chain in the stone shaper while it's casting it's rock skill. You have to wait until it's channeling it to chain it in to interrupt. You need to make sure no one interrupts/ stuns it before otherwise it will have cc immunity when you need to chain it. The reason why you use chains (or luminous shares) is because the type of cc that it is. (Hard cc) The damage output from that rock skill usually wipes the group. Especially if the healer has to shoot the statues. Also I would use the mini boss phase to get your ultis and resources completely up that way you're ready to burn down the totem and stone shaper if/ when it spawns. The next hurtle is getting lucky during her enrage because someone usually gets the statue mechanic there. As a tank I run guard and vigor to help keep ppl alive.
Good luck!
She won't put statues on whoever she is aggroed to, have the healer taunt her when she gets to execute and make sure the tank has some DPS on their bar.
I've done it on full cp, and it's a hell of rng and dpsrace to get it done fluently. The statues are just killing it, I was the designated healer, and mostly when I got the statues, we wiped as I couldn't heal anymore, especially when her health dropped lower and she got I her enrage phase. I actually used the healing ultimate as soon as it got tricky, and that kept the group alive long enough to burn her down.
I've done it on CP160. We used 2 stamina DDs and saved ultimates for shortly after her enrage phase - Tank used Horn, healer used Nova. Our DDs also had self heals (vigor, surge, blood craze, bloodthirst...) for when the healer got statue duty so we were pretty safe there.
The reason we chose stamina dds was so that after burning the totem and running out of resources, the healer would send shards so we both had a good amount of stamina after it and could burn through the boss as fast as possible.
Blood Craze and Bloodthirst are massive helps in case the healer gets statue duty in the end (in our case, almost all the time...) Might seem overkill on the self heals, but it got us through it.

She spits 4 times, flappy wings reflects 4...perfect. Ive watched chudan kill itself quite a few times from that one skill.
