I won't read them in game unless it pertains to the quests or I'm waiting for something to reset. I will however read them off my tablet on the john or something on occasion froim UESP.

I try to read every book I stumble across but most of them are in really bad spots for reading, so more often than not I just skim through them

I read them, I wish there was a way to menu the ones already found so I could re-read or save for later. I totally agree with @1mirg that some books are not in a good place to stop.

I seem to only read them in the moment if I'm in Cyrodiil. Even ones I've already read, like the Spellcrafting one in that temple.

Otherwise it's UESP at work or using Eidetic Memory.

You get that ability at the end of the Mage's Guild quest line.

I read them all the time in Skyrim, and for a while after ESO came out, but there's so much in this game that I feel overwhelmed, and I have a tough time reading as it is due to my attention span with it. No matter how interesting the content, I find myself spacing out and going into autopilot then just having to re-read what my eyes already read.

I remember reading one about sex in the beginner zone on that ice island. Otherwise nothing has held my interest. In my defense I played I********n before TESO and read every single book so I am tired of it. I went cross eyed trying to read books in Skyrim as well.

Certain ones are too good to pass up.

If I come across "I was Summoned by a Mortal", or a Lusty Argonian Maid text, I will have the urge to read it.

Yes. All of them, including notes, scrolls and any other scribblings I stumble across. This was one of my most pleasurable pastimes in previous games.

Two of my characters in particular seek them out quite deliberately. But then I can't walk past a bookshop without popping in to browse.

If it pertains to the content I'm doing I'll always read them right away. Otherwise I'll use the Librarian addon to keep them stored to read them later, I like doing reading sessions with my partner, where we'll just hang around somewhere and read lore books because we're nerds. It's a callback to how we both used to like collecting books in games.

Really, one of my favourite things in Morrowind and Oblivion was just finding a copy of every book and building a giant library. There was nothing more satisfying for me than that. I remember I was more invested in that than being the Nerevarine.

"What is this shiny amulet? Why are you not paying me in books? This is a not book. Can I have a book? You can have this back, I'm sure it's worth a lot more than that dusty old tome over there. I'll just take that and keep it safe in my giant library of lost tomes."

I always wondered why Hermaeus Mora hadn't sent assassins after me to steal my incredible collection of books.

I miss books that I could stack on shelves.

No, never. I only bother with books for the skill line increases. If I wanted to read stuff, I'd buy a book or download an e-book.

This for me as well. I don't actually think I have found all the books in this series.

Unless I need to read them because of the quest I am doing then I open Mark as Read and close.

Wayyyyyy to many of them and some are longish but if I ever run out of toilet paper.... bahaha!

I usually read any books I find. I'll read most of them on the spot, but if enemies are nearby then I'll read it via Eidetic Memory or Shalidor's Library.
