For those concerned that cities will be deserted, the Undaunted Enclaves and Guild Traders are enough to keep at least the three main cities populated. And honestly a small decrease in population in at least Mournhold would be welcome imo. Plus each of these cities happens to have a house in/right next to them. Same with Rawlkha; it has a house and guild traders that will keep it active and could use a small depopulation. Oh, and there are the thief places that attract a smaller amount of people too.

For those saying that large houses can be used as a guild hall, the main problem is that it looks like the max number of players in the instance will be 24 (or 1/20th of a max guild). My guild has meetings on at least a monthly basis where 3-4 raids of people attend in the same location. So I will say that I think a guild hall is only beneficial if it can hold a substantial number of players.

This would be great! My guildies want this! The convenience of my guild having a location to do crafting, to see achievements of the guild hanging on walls, to test on dummies so we can teach those who want to learn.... plus, just to promote a general sense of connection among guildies, and to set up groups in person for things like shard runs or whatever.

Without storage, my desire to buy and decorate a house is practically nil, but I would be really excited about a guild hall. I'm envisioning it as a great hangout space, and I'm also imagining live auctions for trade guilds. I really, really hope this comes to fruition.

I only voted no bc I feel that it's quite easy to use the manor as guild housing. Maybe ZOS could patch in a few features to make the permissions even easier in the future if needed but I don't know that we need a new type of housing for what is certainly to be a boatload of crowns. I also dislike guild housing bc it makes it rather difficult for smaller guilds to work their way to that type of money. With the system ZOS implemented here, any size house could be used as a guild house and a small guild could share a medium if they can't afford a manor

The problem still remains that the player cap on houses is way too low.

i hope for guild halls as both a guild community thing and as a guild vs guild pvp thing.

Imagine being able to set up a guild hall with traps and make it a defendable zone that other guilds can challenge your guild. Guild masters set up the rules (last team standing, capture the flag, king of the hill) and how many from each guild can participate (4v4, 8v8, 12v12) with others allowed to watch as spectators (invisible and cannot be targeted or use abilities)

Something like this might not come for a loooong while but an Orc can hope

I think it's a cool idea, but I'd like to see guild halls implemented in a different way. I think that currently Player manors can play the role well as a guild hall, even more so if the population limit is increased on them.

I would like to see guild halls to be implemented kind of like a mix/mash of current guild halls (fighters/mages) and guild traders.

What I mean by this, is that in each zone, there is a guild hall. This guild hall can be bid upon for guild ownership, this ownership lasts for one month. The guild hall itself will have an exterior which is 'generalized', there aren't any open areas outside the guild apart from banners that differentiate one guild owning it from another. Once a guild has ownership of a guild hall They can choose a default option for furniture, or an empty guild hall. Furniture that comes from this guild hall is marked with a tag in its code. When a tagged piece of furniture is put away, it goes into guild storage, a storage space seperate from the guild bank and store, only accessible while in the guild hall . Players may mark furniture that they make to be placed into guild storage while in the guild hall, but can only remove furniture to place if they have the decorator permission.

The guild hall will also feature its own Zone, similar to how current housing is implemented, but this zone can be accessed by anyone and instances will be created on demand based on a much higher number of players than current manors.

Some functionalities that each guild hall in each zone has is the ability for the guild owner to set up a bounty board inside their guild. These act as daily quests, and can be edited by the guild leader, such as collecting resources, or killing monsters. If the quest is resource collection, players gain xp, resources are deposited into the guild bank, and payment is deducted from the guild bank. If it is a mob slaying quest, it simply rewards xp to the player completing the quest, and perhaps something similar to a writ reward or gold bonus.

Each guild hall comes with its own guild trader as well, which either extends their current guild trader, or acts as a new one.

Once ownership of a guild hall expires, all (guild hall) guild trader inventory will be swapped to the current guild store (accessed from bank) or will stay the same (if an extension of a guild trader). All marked furniture is relocated into the guild bank and the mark is removed from them.

This is an overly complex idea, which has no chance of happening, but would be friggin awesome, and would allow major guilds to have a high presence with anyone in a zone.

The dwellings of players are too bad to make guild halls do not favor Zenimax has simplicity, imagine 400 players in the daggerfall overhang (for example) one will be piled like beasts for the slaughterhouse

We already bought one as a 'guild hall' but with very little function offered by housing, and the need to mail everything we want to the Guild Master its a bit of a damp firework really.

Sure we meet there to duel and put in the crafting stations. But with no Guild Store / bank access its pants as a crafting hub really.

that's the number 1 thing housing needs - Crown option for full bank access, then i'm engaged

I would like it if a player house could be designated as a guild hall, rather than creating different homes. This can come in the shape of additional item/player cap, and services-based furniture not counting toward the item cap (such as crafting stations and target dummies). Between all the crafting stations, target dummies, and everything else, that I don't have much room for other things (such as showcasing new furniture or actually building something).

It would also be nice so that it can be accessed from the main guild page rather than telling people to go to my primary residence.

I co-lead a large trading guild on PC-NA and although I am not the GM rank, my house is the guild hall. Hopefully. if implemented, the guild hall ownership will not be limited to just the guild GM rank.
