Q: About Hirelings on alts?

Is it true that if you decide to get hirlings on other characters it overrides your main crafters hirelings cause ever since I got them on my alt, I haven't gotten any material mail on my main crafter

No, I have hirelings on several alts and they all get mail when I log on to each one, including the main crafter.

No. I have hirelings on two characters and they both get the mails just fine. Pretty sure you can only see the hireling mail on the character which is receiving it though. (So, main can only see their hireling mail, and alt can only see their hireling mail.)

I log into all my characters, then pull out all the hireling mails on my main. I have five with hirelings, and all five get the mail, and all received mails are visible on all characters (but you do need to log into the character with the hirelings to receive the mails).

hm then not sure whats going on never got my resources after 14 hours on my main crafter but i got them on my alt so far

I got the craft bag before I had an alt with hirelings, so I had no idea you could do this. Tbh, I hadn't given it much thought.

Nope. I have hirelings on different characters, and get mail from all of them, every time I log on to that character. And yes, you can get the mails on one character, and take them on another. Not that it matters much for those with crafting bags, but for those without... it may be a good thing to do on occasion.

How-ever... sometimes one the hireling mail bugs. Then it is not sent when you log on with your hireling boss, but delayed. Usually there when you wayshrine or log on with the next character though...

Possibly you may have something else going on. By chance if on PC could it be an add-on.

I don't play PC anymore but it was never an issue. On Xbox one I have 4 characters who upon log-in, receive hireling mail without conflict.

That's not quite right. If you log in on a character with a hireling, you'll receive their mail. You can immediately log out and onto another character, and pull their hireling mail down at the same time (or keep jumping between characters and pull all your hireling mail down at once.)

Maybe if you have an addon that automates pulling down the hireling mails. But, that's all I could think of.

When you first put points into to hireling (and I believe also when you upgrade the hireling passive) it can take 24 hours to get the first mail or the first new high level mail.

If you upgrade straight to 3/3, it's 12 hours. But, yeah, when you upgrade your hireling the first time you set the clock, and it'll take 24/24/12 hours before the first mail reaches you.

You have to log in to every character with hirelings to get the hirelings mail. Your mail is account-wide so every character should be able to see every mail to every character. Any character can get the contents of any mail.

Make sure your mail isn't full. It's tedious but you have to do E-X-E about 40 times a day to empty your hireling mail or your mailbox will fill up quickly. Maybe there's an addon for this, though to check, empty and delete all mail.
