While ESO staff is answering questions, Is ESO slowly moving towards free to play with these in between free updates a way to get us used to the idea before it happens? When will ESO return to actual content or even better REAL expansions with a trial , two dungeons and story quests in each one like a real MMORPG? If F2P models can deliver that content why can't ESO? The Crown store is sure getting real close to a F2P model...

You are about a day late in the "while they are still answering questions" thing. That was an express train that came and went already.

Right now there seems to be raging wildfires they have to attend to....apparently no one realized what would happen if they came up with a festival, with activities that require people to talk to one particular npc, in one particular place, several times. And also ignore that fact, proven, unfortunately in far too many instances, that trolls/griefers will do as much as they can to troll and grief as many people as they can. Which they are doing.

Considering the amount of ill-will ZOS has generated this week with bad patches and really, really, really predictable problems with the event, overzealous moderation of the forum might be... unwise. Shutting down threads left and right is only going to confirm to people their opinion that ZOS is more interested in controlling the narrative than doing a good job. Whether the opinion is true or false, they probably should not be actively encouraging it, and their actions today do so.

In other words, some sincerity from ZOS might calm people down. Shutting down discussions left and right does no such thing.
