Also, you know I don't like that you are selling Crown Exclusive Motifs. But if we at least could use them over our armor, like, say, with an appearance tab... Or maybe if we could apply the look to existing gear, including set gear... Yeah, it would make it a little more interesting.Just so that everyone knows, my Altmer still can't have black hair. About a dozen of Altmer NPCs in the game have black hair. Just saying.

Gyda Snowcaller, Nord cryomancer: I will find a way to do it that won't waste resources and make Aerindel proud of me.

I totally agree. Imagine the Stalhrim style on Winterborn set instead of that ugly default one...
@ZOS_GinaBruno ZOS, will you consider some sort of style conversion of any crafted/dropped gear? Cause right now buying/collecting motifs is a waste of money and time, even if they look really good (like the Stalhrim one). Most people use either dropped sets or already crafted gear which is improved to legendary and they don't have a reason to get a new motif...11 -

So much BiS items are drop sets and they are offering crown store exclusive motif. I think Stalhrim motif would have much more merit being a costume pack, atm.
@Alucardo I'm afraid that implementing Transmog system would require too much tweaking with the current costume/polymorph system to be implemented any time soon.
EDIT: what I mean, if they just add Transmog on top of it all it would feel weird, imo. A pity the beautifull motif is store only- but store only motifs as an idea are much better then the crown crates idea .

Please keep putting many beautifull things like these for straight purchase instead of the crates, will buy and feel happy! And please consider starting to rotate old retired items up for straight purchase too from time to time, waves credit card !

It was a lot of fun on PTS. A lot less "grindy" than the "Halloween" event. There was a lot of work put into this one.

Yes, I am really happy for this too.
I remember when the description was datamined and I said the same. I didn't want them to make the Elk an elven mount because I didn't want it to be associated too closely to Thranduil.
I still imagine I will see many elves riding Elks, but hey, the description counts, right? I bought my Turquoise Nixad mostly for its description (It likes magic and poetry, and my main character is a mage who is also a bard, so... This. I'm more than happy to buy lots of crowns to ensure I am able to purchase what gets released directly. I will not spend a single crown to gamble on a chance at maybe getting something I want, and more than likely not because the RNG in this game is atrocious. Crown gems do not change anything. I will not gamble 4 times the amount crowns I would have spent on a direct purchase to a) get a bunch of junk I never wanted in the first place and b) cannot trade back, to be disappointed and annoyed over and over again, until I finally have enough gems to get what I wanted.
I don't see why anything is ever taken out of the crown store in the first place. Pack the sucker with everything and keep adding more. We get new players all the time who don't have anything yet, and when the selection is slim, they take a peek and then never bother looking again because it looks like it's just a bunch of half-empty, picked-over shelves with only the tins of dog food and some off-brand soup left. Not to mention the people who would have purchased, but couldn't because they don't get paychecks scheduled around your limited-time nonsense.That Stalhrim motif looks brilliant. Just a shame I'll never be able to actually wear it because all my sets are dropped.. *cough*transmog please*ahem*
The given reason for the Crown store only motif last time was that they had a problem getting two separate style materials to drop. I can understand this, whether I like the result of a mimic stone required motif or not, I can understand that sometimes the code is just not going to cooperate and they have to find a way to work around it. It's better than us not having the motif at all! With most motifs being pointless due to all the BiS gear anyway, there's not as high a demand for crafted so the motif isn't going to be used that often.
That being said...
If the crafting system has reached a point code-wise where it's hard to work in a way to drop new style materials unless it involves accessing a new area (DLC), perhaps it's a good time to consider an overhaul - one that includes a transmog function. With so many of the BiS gear being dropped sets, there's less reason to even bother buying motifs anyway. We never get the chance to use them!
