Undaunted Chests (Random shoulders or per pledge)
If you complete a pledge for a specific dungeon and then use the undaunted key in the appropriate chest, are you supposed to get the shoulders that match the dungeon, or is this random?? Random is fine, but each time i open the largest (center) chest, i get the Molag Kena shoulders (I must have over 25 of these.. but none of the others that are supposed to be in that chest..
Again, i'm i doing something wrong?

So just to make sure I understand you correctly, the center chest will only drop, say, Molag Kena, Iceheart, and Mighty Chudan. (Just for example. I don't actually know what it drops.) But the one you get of those three is entirely random regardless of which pledge you do to get the key.

Yes, you are correct.
Each chest carries a certain amount of monster sets - to follow your example - center chest carries: Molag Kena, Might Chudan, Lord Warden, and Velidreth.
Every time you use a key to open that chest you get a random shoulder from ANY of those 4 sets.0 -
SolarCat02✭✭✭✭✭Yes. Center chest gives the DLC shoulders, so you have four possibilities, and so only a 25% chance for Molag Kena, even if you just ran White Gold Tower.
Keys don't care how you got them.Why be normal when you can be better?

I think you got it.. it's just i've notice more times that i've completed a dungeon and opened the corresponding chest for whom gave me the key, i would get the matching shoulders that went with that dungeon.. but originally i thought that the largest chest would give "heavy" vs the medium chest would give "medium".. but it turned out that every time i've opened the center chest, i also get the Kena shoulders.
But it makes sense if it's random.. i'll have to find that chart again that shows what chest gives which shoulders.0 -
SolarCat02✭✭✭✭✭The quest giver's name on the chest is the giveaway. For example, the name on the middle chest matches the guy who gives you the DLC dungeons.
So Maj's gives the tier 1 and 2 dungeons from the base game, because those are the dungeons she also sends you to. Etc.Why be normal when you can be better?

AjiBuster499✭✭✭Also, at the enclaves, I've seen a paper that lists the pledges everyone gives. It's labeled "Pledge Duties" and can be very handy for figuring out which chest to open, since the chest will give a shoulder only from the pledges that it's person gives, i.e. Glirion's chest will contain shoulders from the dungeons that Glirion gives as a pledge (Glirion also happens to have the most sets available).
If you can find that paper it will help out with deciding which chest to open for your shoulder that you want.tfw your sig gets wound back in time.

YES>>> that's the chart!!! It got me on the straight and narrow!!! It's looks like there is only an 8.3% chance to get any of the shoulders in the small or medium chests and as SolarCat02 pointed out, only a 25% chance on the center chest. It's seems i've been very unfortunate with the Kena shoulders
