Hello,
I've just started the game and I have few questions regarding the skills.
I play as an Imperial DragonKnight
1. If I unlock all skills and passives at some point, then isn't it possible to replace the active skills on my bar1 and bar2 ? Something like drag and drop or whatever it is the way of doing this. Why should I reset my skills points then ?
2. To upgrade Pierce Armor 1 to 2 faster, which is binded to key 1 I have to spam it as much as possible, else it wouldn't level up only if I fight with basic attacks or using other skills. Right ?
3. If I use One Hand and Shield with a sword and shield ... can't I use skills from two hands from example ? I mean what is the benefit to use only from one hand and shield skills
4. Reading some guides I saw recommending 2 Medium Armor and 5 Heavy Armor. Why not all armor heavy ?
Thank you
Hello,
I've just started the game and I have few questions regarding the skills.

Dragging and dropping lets you use the skills you have, which cost points to unlock. You can eventually morph a skill so that it works a little differently. If you decide you no longer want to use a skill and want your skill point back to spend for something else, you can get it refunded. If you have morphed a skill and want to try the other version of it, you can refund the point you spent to morph it and undo the morph.
For example, you may decide at some point you no longer wish to use the one hand and shield skill line and want the points back from it. Or you may want to get points back from morphing skills in the one hand and shield line to change them to other morphs of those skills.
2. To upgrade Pierce Armor 1 to 2 faster, which is binded to key 1 I have to spam it as much as possible, else it wouldn't level up only if I fight with basic attacks or using other skills. Right ?
Any skill that is on your active bar when you earn XP will benefit from the XP, even if it isn't being used. Not only that, but the skill line in which that skill resides also earns XP.
3. If I use One Hand and Shield with a sword and shield ... can't I use skills from two hands from example ? I mean what is the benefit to use only from one hand and shield skills
Each skill line has it's own advantages and disadvantages and may have restrictions on their use. Skills from weapon skill lines require that particular weapon to be equipped to be used. You could have a two-handed weapon skill like Cleave on bar one, but, if bar one is equipped with a sword and mace Cleave will be darkened to show it can't be used. Class skills, Guild skills, Vampire/Werewolf skills, Alliance War skills, etc, have their own restrictions but are not limited by your choice of weapon.
4. Reading some guides I saw recommending 2 Medium Armor and 5 Heavy Armor. Why not all armor heavy ?
It depends on the type of build the guide is for. Each type of armor has its own advantages. Each armor skill line has a passive bonus that requires 5 pieces of that type of armor to use, while other bonuses increase for each piece of that type of armor that is worn. In this case, it may be that 5 heavy gives sufficient damage mitigation (it's purpose) while the two medium make the wearer more agile (it's purpose). In some cases people may prefer to wear 5 of one type and then 1 of each of the other two to get a bonus from the Undaunted skill line.
Thank you
You are welcome.
